James Patterson is famous for his thrillers, while Fox News host Bill O'Reilly is known for his historical Killing series. In this inspired collaboration, the two remind us all that a single word – 'please' – is useful in a thousand different ways. From finding a lovable stray dog to needing a partner on a seesaw, from reading a bedtime story to really, really wanting a biccie, Give Please a Chance depicts scenes and situations in which one small word can move mountains.
In writing the book, the authors had two goals in mind: to teach kids to say 'please' and to get them hooked on reading at a young age. According to Bill O'Reilly, he and James believe that they "can bring…civility and compassion back into the world. Let's start with our children, by encouraging them to always say that wonderful, magical word: please."
"I do think reading a book to children where they're going to say 'please' 20 times and say 'let's read it again,' is a very good thing," says Patterson. "And when they finish a book, we hope they'll say, 'Please give me another book.'"

About the authors
James Patterson is one of the best-known and biggest-selling writers of all time.
