Maw that is terrible news for the bikers. I would be so cross!

The grass is cut and the bathrooms are clean - getting there! DD & SiL coming next week, so we need to get tidy. Its easy to let things get untidy when there is no one to see.

So sorry to hear this Maw. I too have heard that bikes are impossible to get at the moment. Dogs are also in high demand. When all this is over I suspect the bikes will go back in the sheds and the dogs back into rescue.

This seems to be Broon bike week I fear. Just further to Flynn’s stolen scooter - I was talking to D1 about this today and she told me that their entire family’s bikes (5) have been stolen from the locked bike sheds at their holiday house in Somerset - including the boys’ new Bradley Wiggins birthday present bikes a total value of about £1500 ?
To add insult to injury there would appear to be a waiting list for new bikes which cannot be bought for love nor money, even if their house contents insurance were to pay up. Bikes are at a premium it seems. ??

Charley,we will definitely need a couple of days to recuperate each week?

Charley,our DGD is staying this week,She brought a suitcase of laundry with her as she wanted to bring her favourite clothes with her which were all in the laundry basket.She assured mummy that grandma is very good at laundry.I was ironing said clothes earlier and she said what’s that?mummy doesn’t have one of those!She was fascinated watching me ironing but thought it was a very strange thing to do??

Puzzler 61 My baking was quite successful (I think) and we tried a scone with tea, but my OH prefers white flour, ,I had to mix brown and white as I'd run out of white flour. Anyway they tasted rather good, will try the apricot cake later when it cools down.
Am new to GN so finding my feet!

soop I do not understand the need to do so much ironing. I have not ironed for at least 4 years.

It is not very warm and the showers are not heavy but I am getting my clothes dried in between.

Good afternoon, am still having trouble posting?? Today I'm doing some baking, brown fruit scones and an apricot cake, I usually bake two items so the oven is used economically. Fingers crossed, this message will appear!

I’ve got a plate of ploughman’s, thank you synonymous and will provide sprigs of mint and paper straws for the jug of Pimms soop. What a lovely chat we all can have! Delicious. “Such fun“ as Miranda Hart would say.

I thought I'd call into Soop's kitchen and I read Maw's news about Flynn's and Fleur's scooters being stolen. I am so disappointed about people who would do that and hope the wee ones get scooters to replace the stolen ones.

Dear Synonymous Shall I prepare a huge jug or three of Pimms? We can all sit around in our virtual garden and have a lovely, long, chatty lunch.

Great excitement in my little circumscribed life! A dentist's appointment! When lock-down happened, I had an appointment cancelled and since then have had to be content with a temporary filling instead of a root canal filling. Can you imagine feeling enthusiastic about a root canal? No, me neither! It's his first day back treating non-emergencies, so I am honoured.
Maw, I hope your DD managed to source a scooter. Or have you been busy on line trying to find one? It's so important for little children to have their own 'wheels', As it is for teenagers. My DGS, 16 yesterday, sent a selfie with crash helmet, as he is to 'inherit' his sister's refurbished motor scooter; she progressed to a motor bike last year. It won't be long before all my GC are taking driving tests. Maw, you have that to look forward to.
I do hope we hear from Izabella soon. Her posts are something to treasure.

I had caught the cleaning bug earlier but the novelty has started to wear off because it has been raining and where can I put 3 machine loads of washing?

At least I will not have to water the plants later.

MawB have you got a local Freecycle up and running because that maybe your best bet re getting a scooter for Flynn.
