Thinking of Susan, Henry and his parents. Such a worrying time.

Thinking of Susan, little Henry and his family.

Hope that you are feeling better Maw, that's a delightful card from your GD.

We sat in the garden this afternoon for a while, it is so warm. We could hear nothing except birdsong. Haven't felt like posting for a day or two, but I have read everything.
The photo is the cherry blossom on the tree our DS gave us about five yeas ago.
TOYA ?

All my best wishes to little Henry and his family.
Aw MawB, bless her little heart!
Good to hear from you Panache, I`m glad you`re safely back home again.
My youngest son and his wife picked up my click and collect order from Asda this morning, a few things missing, including toilet rolls and eggs, and it seems impossible to buy Heinz Spring veg soup just lately. There were also some items missing that had been charged for, so I have contacted them for a refund.
GreyD, I hope your back is settling down now. I was going to iron this afternoon, but my back is giving me some gyp, so I abandone the idea till tomorrow.
TOYA xx

Prayers for a swift recovery for little Henry and peace of mind for Susan.

Welcome back home*Panache*. I'm so pleased that you had such good treatment.

We've been sitting out on the swing seat in the shade, enjoying the bird song, so wonderful in the peaceful quiet. We saw the first swallow swooping around the trees hovering up the midges. Living as we do on an old Victorian estate, I thought that as things are now, it must be very like how things were nearly two centuries ago, just the voices of some people in the garden and the weighing of a local horse in the distance.

TOYA

panache so glad you were well looked after and home safe.
Thinking of you all whatever your situation may be and wishing you safe this Easter. x

Healing vibes to Henry and sympathy to his parents and Susan. I know how it feels, even though my experience was 46 years ago. My hope is that it will turn out as well for Henry as it did for my baby thanks to the brilliance of NHS doctors.

Grandmafrench Thu 09-Apr-20 21:28:20

Bless you, little Henry. Be strong, Susan - hope you can feel how we're all behind you. x

Smileless2012 Thu 09-Apr-20 23:09:23

I don't know what happened!! I know I typed another post about Henry but it isn't here.

Susan pm'd me to say he'd received treatment at the hospital and had been sent home with medication as it was felt it was better for him not to be kept in.

Tests have been done and they're awaiting the results which they hope to get tomorrow.

I do apologise for the lateness of this up date. I must have forgotten to post my last message.

Galen Thu 09-Apr-20 23:19:25

Smileless thanks for the update.
Lots of clapping in my road tonight.
I had a lovely FaceTime conversation with my darling daughter and her horde this afternoon. They all seem quite cheerful and coping. I think things may have been very different if the weather had been bad.
My thoughts and prayers are with all who need them.
TOYA for all the rest.

Thanks for letting us know smileless . I thought I had posted a message about Henry but I couldn’t see it so I posted another. I was obviously on the wrong page blush

So pleased Henry is home Susan

cornergran Fri 10-Apr-20 08:30:11

Good news about henry, thank you smileless for passing on Susan's message. I’m also a victim of disappearing message syndrome. I have a mental picture of them all having a party somewhere grin.

Have as good a day as you can everyone.

Susan56 Fri 10-Apr-20 09:46:37

Thank you all for your lovely messages, prayers and thoughts for Henry and thank you to Smileless for letting everyone know.
It’s been a rough 24 hours but things slightly better than this time yesterday. The care that Henry and my daughter received has been fantastic from the gp,paramedics and the paediatric team.We had even more reason to applaud last night.
Henry is to have more tests and see another consultant but not sure where as the hospital isn’t the safest place at the moment so waiting to hear.
Thank you again for all your support,it really helped and encouraged us yesterday.x

Smileless2012 Fri 10-Apr-20 10:08:02

I wonder if that's what I did Doodle, posted on the wrong pagehmm

It's good to see your post Susan. I can't begin to imagine how stressful and upsetting this is for you allflowers. Our NHS is wonderful isn't it and I love applauding them all and hearing so many others applaud too.

A strange Easter weekend for us all. Our ladies church choir should have been singing on Sunday, and we should have sung last Sunday too; I'm sorry to be missing the opportunity.

What could be more appropriate for Good Friday than hot cross buns so get stuck in ladies.

A 'Happy Easter' to you allflowers x

Grandmafrench Fri 10-Apr-20 10:14:53

Hurrah! Henry back with his family. Much less stress for all - especially the little chap. So glad he had good care.

Sitting in my garden and thinking ‘what a weird time for the world and what a weird Easter’. Any of us feel like posting a pic’ ? That might be a cheery thing to do - especially as lots of forum members have been gardening like mad. We can start a Lockdown Album - Soop’s lovely flowers, Lin’s glorious blossom guaranteed to lift our spirits. A photo of a garden, a view, a special item, a pet, a hobby, a grandchild .......anything at all? I shall go and choose something, but hopefully someone will beat me to it.

Hope everyone feeling good today.....as good as you can be. Positive vibes to all, and Good Friday Kitchen hugs x

annodomini Fri 10-Apr-20 10:40:29

So pleased to hear that Henry is home with his family. I hope they manage to get the tests done safely and soon.

Carillion, your Victoria sponge sounds luscious. I am sure your DH will enjoy it. Monday is DS1's 49th birthday which makes me feel old - well, I suppose I am! He has taken to phoning me while he is taking his daily walk and, just chatting about nothing in particular does me a world of good. He is working partly at home and partly at the police station. I hope they are keeping safe, though he isn't 'front-line'.
I have left some surprisingly good cream of mushroom soup on the range for you. I say 'surprisingly good' because it was a 'play it by ear' recipe and the 'cream' is a dollop of Philadelphia. I used the oven as a slow cooker to make that and leek and potato soup.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 10-Apr-20 10:42:55

Brilliant news that Henry is home, I hope the medication helps.

Lovely to hear from dear Panache flowers

I woke up early this morning and within an hour my head was feeling as if it was in a vice, I have taken my prescription migraine medication had a doze'and now feeling better.

I ventured downstairs to make a latte and thought I would have a hot cross bun which Mr.GG picked up from the shop on Wednesday..........well it tasted odd on closer inspection the label said rhubarb and custard hot cross buns all I can say is why? Who,thought they would be a good idea? Mr.GG pointed out that they were the only packet left, I am not surprised confused

Wishing you all a peaceful Good Friday

Keep safe and well.

cornergran Fri 10-Apr-20 11:32:32

Chocolate and cherry hot cross buns here courtesy of Waitrose. Not traditional but definitely enjoyable grin

Here’s an image from this mornings walk with the blossom, just lovely.

As today is a bank holiday we are celebrating by banning jobs, I’m off to sit in the garden with my book. Take care all.
