Apologies if this has already been done! Mine was Paul Anka's 'Diana' - 'I'm so young and you're so old ...'

Yes it has been done before, but we love to reminisce!
Mine was Lonny Donegan's Battle of New Orleans on a 78rpm.

Sealed with a kiss ( Bryan Hyland, I think.)

Lonnie Donegan's 'Lost John' - a 78rpm. I still remember the purple Pye label!

I don't remember the first single but my first LP was 'Tommy' by The Who

We didn't have a record player, we had a reel to reel tape recorder. We used to set up the microphone and record Top of the Pops. When we did eventually catch up with everyone else and get a record player the first one I bought was "It must be love" by Labi Siffre. I still like that song.

love, love, love
Nothing more, nothing less....

I now have an earworm grin

I bought an LP of The King and I, when I was about 12 and didn't have a record player.
First single was King of the Road - Roger Whittaker, still no record player when I got that!

Poetry in Motion, by Johnny Tillotson. The first record we bought when our Dad fixed the record player. Can't remember if he bought it for us or if one of my siblings bought it. And I can't remember the first record that I bought myself, but I do remember the first LP I bought - Sunshine Superman by Donovan. I was in love with him grin

And I used to love ice skating to Fleetwoods "Albatross"
