Ooops - J.'s hand slipped whilst adding the cheese to the risotto and tipped it all over the central full-on gas burner instead!
That's going to take some cleaning......
Still a tasty risotto though smile

Night all - thanks for the chat.

jessm
I'm glad to hear it! When his manboobs require your bra!
Then worry grin

Butternut Wed 13-Jun-12 20:20:26

...and it sounded so fetching, too! grin

Anno - sad - Hope you get some sunshine soon.

JessM Wed 13-Jun-12 20:12:23

Yes, I gasped! First time EVER that i saw him wearing something belonging to me.

Annobel Wed 13-Jun-12 20:02:16

Horrid gloomy day here in Cheshire. Not quite raining - not yet anyway. I've had the light on all day. Grrrr.

Anagram Wed 13-Jun-12 20:02:03

What a picture, Jess! grin

Butternut Wed 13-Jun-12 20:01:27

You paint a lovely vision of your DH jess! Good to hear such lovely weather in MK - think we're in for a few good days - we've got the tents to dismantle tomorrow and that is the last of the big W. clear-up thankfully.

JessM Wed 13-Jun-12 19:56:17

Hi there. I spotted bumble bees mating on the columbine this afternoon! A rare event.
Nice warm sunny afternoon here in MK. Phew, this is what June can feel like.
If I waited for DH to cook it would be about 9.30 and I would have chewed off his leg. Or at least his calf. Whole leg would be a challenge.
He just emerged from the utility room, surprisingly clad in my old towelling robe that is on the way to being rags and was consigned to that anteroom. Quite an entrance. Just been putting sweaty cycling gear in washing machine I assume. Amazed it fitted as he would nearly make 2 of me!

Butternut Wed 13-Jun-12 19:51:32

...think I'll just chill out here a bit longer then give him a hand...

Butternut Wed 13-Jun-12 19:48:28

Bit of a blip in the 'who's cooking supper this evening' scenario. Had a long chat with J. about it this morning re. cooling one recipe from an Italian cook book we were were given at Christmas, once a week. He clearly offered............and then forgot. I've just reminded him....... smile

Butternut Wed 13-Jun-12 19:43:45

Very - and tiresome!

Anagram Wed 13-Jun-12 19:42:24

Noisy, aren't they? grin

Annobel Wed 13-Jun-12 19:41:08

nag, the collared doves are very busy in my garden, swooping past my windows and fluttering through the trees. They could be feeding chicks. They start the day around 4.30 on my neighbour's TV aerial and the woodpigeons join the chorus on her roof.

jeni Wed 13-Jun-12 19:35:57

Yes!

Butternut Wed 13-Jun-12 19:35:27

Hope your fingers/wrist heal soon. RSI/GN problem??? grin

Butternut Wed 13-Jun-12 19:31:35

...the thing is, my sparrows just squabble all the time, whereas blackbirds are supposed to be the singers...... hmm

The weeds I saw this evening in the veg. patch were outrageous and I haven't the energy to tackle them yet - so I'm here instead..........missing family and folk.

Nice company.

jeni Wed 13-Jun-12 19:31:21

I seem to have strained my right wrist and have problems with my oa fingers as well. So I won't be posting much for a bit until its settled!

But I'm still watching!

SO BEWAREgrin

Anagram Wed 13-Jun-12 19:27:45

Collared doves are a bit of a problem in our garden - 5.00 a.m. their monotonous hooting starts - must get some decent earplugs!

jeni Wed 13-Jun-12 19:24:04

Talking about birds, the two blackbirds in my garden wake the other birds (and me) at 4.30 every morning with their competition as to who can make the most noise!

Butternut Wed 13-Jun-12 19:23:14

Hi, I'd been wondering where you were jeni and hoping all was ok. Coming back from hols. can sometimes be a bit of a bump.

No, absolutely no dogs this evening. smile

jeni Wed 13-Jun-12 19:20:01

I've been working yesterday, today and again tomorrow! I need a few gentle moments?
I just trust that dogs are not allowed.

Butternut Wed 13-Jun-12 19:19:37

I love a spot of evening sunshine, nag - birds do, too.

They're quieter than this morning, when J. commented that the sparrows who live in a big bush just below our bedroom window, needed an asbo, they were so rowdy!

Anagram Wed 13-Jun-12 19:15:00

How lovely butter - we haven't been here for ages! smile
It's been raining here all day, but now the clouds have parted and we have a bit of weak sunshine, just in time for the birds to flit around finding their supper.

Butternut Wed 13-Jun-12 19:12:59

............ quietly entering with a glass of chilled white wine, after a walk around the garden. Late sunshine, long shadows and drunk bees kept me company.
It's been a day of hassle so I am pleased to be here, and a very good place it is, too. smile
Anyone want to join me for a bit of gentle chit-chat?

soop Sun 20-May-12 11:56:03

nannachrissy You've been cheered. That's a bonus. flowers
