glass It just felt a bit "off" and itchy for about a week, then (on the weekend that DD2 brought her new fiance to meet us for the first time) it was really sore and streaming with tears. The ulcers were so small I could not see them, but they showed up with some special eyedrops. Took weeks to heal, and my sight was a bit blurred for quite a while after that. Cement is very alkaline, I think, which burns. Be careful, and watch your back too shovelling all day.

Hope you did not splash any cement in your eye while shovelling. I did and got a couple of little ulcers as a reward. Very painful and could not read or use the computer for a while.

when can I have a hot toddy, just got back from the house, fell into a hot shower but I am still freezing, it was a bit chilly up there today and I spent all day in the shade loading the cement mixer which warmed me when I was doing it then I was nithered within 5 minutes.
