I tend to read the whole thread of ones I am particularly interested in, but rarely all at once. If I come upon the thread at its start, I just try and keep pace with it, including diversions and digressions. If a meander interest me, I might take part in that. If a meander doesn't interest me and I want to get back to the crux of the matter (if it has one), then I'll base my remarks on the comments that are relevant to my interest, even if that means ignoring some newer irrelevant ones.
It's not difficult.
Did anyone watch the C5 programme on CECOT with Richard Madeley
