What can I do now that I could not do when I was 59. I have a over 60's discount card only to be used on a Wednesday. cannot get a Freedom Pass for the bus and train for another 3.25 years.

Are there any deals out there?

Some really good concessions in some theatres and cinemas, but you need to ask. On the other hand some think they're being generous knocking off 50p.

Free eye test.
Most places have senior entry fee which is a little cheaper than ordinary adult. We saved a whole £1 when we took GD to cinema last week.

J don"t think business"s are as generous for seniors as they are in Stateside .

For goodness sake let us have cheap coffee , we don"t ask for a lot .

Although we were at a Harvester , and it was a bottomless cup, about time they cottoned on .

I celebrated my 60th Birthday last year and will not be entitled to my pension until Sept next year...Bus pass and some other discounts only apply if you are drawing your pension...On a lighter note we do have something to look forward to when we become pensioners....
