If DS1 had been named after the place where he was conceived, he would have been called "Fools Nook", after a tiny place on the Macclesfield canal!
DS2 would have been nameless, as we don't know how or where he happened!

My dd is Venetia, but actually it was her elder brother who was conceived there.
We didn't think he'd have appreciated it but then, on second thoughts?

DH had a friend whose daughter was called Lotus which was very odd for the early 70s (before flower power!) until he told us why. I don't think I was that flexible even way back then!!

We would have had one called Leicester Forest East, one called Woolacombe and one called 'somewhereinirelandwhileweweretouring'. The other two were probably 'athomeinbedbecausei'mtooknackeredtobeadventurous'

My son would be very happy, he would be called Rochester! My poor daughter would be lumbered with Chainhurst though. Or maybe she would prefer Infrontoftheblazingfire?

I think Windermere would sound very 'theatrical'.

The leading man Windermere Lakeside threw her on the bed and made passionate love to Entrancetofield Rushden, spoken with a distinct French accent, naturally.

This idea of naming your children after where they were conceived is OK while they are young, but a bit odd as they grow older. I cannot imagine my son (35 years old, 6'6" and 21 stone) being known as Windermere.

fun though. We were having a 'cuddle' on lovely afternoon in the middle of a cornfield. It was beautiful, sky larks soaring above us, fluffy clouds scuttering across a blue sky, bees buzzing when all of a sudden a the crucial moment five dune buggies came tearing towards us from know where. You have never seen such a panic. That'll teach us.

No I didn't know that.

I use the name POGS as it was a place hubby and I had a, hu hum, weekend. . It was called Broughton POGS.

A bit like naming your children after the place they were conceived. We didn't do that mind as our daughter would have been called Portland 'BILL'.

Iam I think that happens when the person you're messaging (on fb) is online, so you are in 'chat' as opposed to 'messaging'.

I've recently begun to have the message, 'control, enter' to send a post, but sometimes this fades and I have to click the 'post' box. It's not there now!

Flower - I can't understand why sometimes when replying to pm's on Facebook, I press paragraph, and the message sends. Other times, I seem able to send longer replies, with paragraphs, with no problems. I suspect that I'm becoming increasingly lazy about technology, and need to try harder when it comes to remembering (or better yet, reading) instructions.
