I went for mince pies on 28th December. None to be found. But there were plenty of Hot Cross Buns in their place!

Oh dear I noticed mini eggs and creme eggs in the shops and they are a big weakness of mine but I shall resist!!! I don't buy any for grandchildren just send some Easter pocket money but I usually get a BIG one from DH grin.

They are praying on peoples greed, no wonder we have an obesity epidemic.

They sell early because they know that most people won't be able to leave them until Easter and will have to buy again.

I don't think it would be possible or desirable to legalise when particular foods/sweets could be sold but certainly retail outlets do go overboard.

Our local shops were selling Easter eggs before Christmas, anything to make money out of the public.

Is it me but am I being unreasonable to be horrified to see easter eggs in tescos yesterday and a sign saying 'be an early bird'.
How is that for putting pressure on children to buy sweets etc. There should be a legal limit on seasonal promotions such as December the 1st for Christmas sales and maybe a month before easter before they can start selling eggs etc.
