bugs in the home

Had two monsters in the house just today. First one we 'relocated' outside because DGD was watching but the second one (unless it was the first and he was a bit defiant) came to a sticky end. Agree with above, I wouldn't harm them in the garden or outdoors but in the house it depends on my mood...Sorry spiders - you've been warned...

Squish instantly if in the home. Large shoe at the ready in Autumn in case of spiders with big black hairy legs.
In the garden, I'm in their territory so I practice a "live and let live " policy.

I got them when we first moved here, I put all my woollens in one wardrobe and gave it a good squirt with fly spray. I also bought naphthalene moth balls from Amazon, as the newer variety don't seem to work as well. I have repeated the spray maybe once every two or three years.

I've seen a couple of clothes moths recently and according to our local hardware shop I'm not alone - they are constantly selling out of moth-killing sprays, repellents etc.

We shouldn't encourage them really but just to say I haven't had clothes moths for many years. I thought they had all died .

My eldest DGD has just finished her GCSEs. Celebrated by going to the Isle of Wight pop festival. She sent me a link to a youtube clip of her singing her head off during James Bay's Hold Back The River.

I'm quite disappointed really, I thought it was going to be a thread on 'how to listen in to your DC's phone conversations'.

Why oh why do they give them exam leave?

Clothes Moths!! I will squash them on sight and have instructed all members of the family to do the same.
That is if any survive the numerous moth repellents hanging in the wardrobes! x

I can't bring myself to squish a spider. I still hear my Granny saying "If you want to live and thrive let the spider run alive".

I can't squish I was always told if kill a spider it will rain maybe that's why we so much rain and its not global warming

I ignore them. We have beams so spiders are par for the course.

Haven't we just had a thread about this or am I going do-lally?
