Christmas Jumper

I would have complained, Encouraging staff to wear Christmas sweaters is one thing, but wearing ones that contain words that quite a number of people would find crude and unpleasant, reflects badly on the store, particularly in a big chainstore like Boots.

It was the words "ya filthy animal" wasn't it? Not a good choice.Like the one I saw,F--- Christmas.

At this time of year there are plenty of shops where the staff wear Christmas jumpers. Are you saying that,in your opinion, the manageress shouldn't have joined in?

If ever I am feeling really down I simply have to watch Home Alone and laugh until I cry. It is guaranteed to cheer me up.

The jumpers are everywhere this year. The quote is just a reference to a scene shot to look like an old movie, that the boy Kevin watches in the film Home Alone 2.
I have heard that some shop workers are told to only wear Christmas jumpers sold by their own store. I don't know whether this applies to Boots, where the choice would be limited.
I wouldn'have batted an eyelid if I saw the manager wearing one of these.

I did a Christmas job with Boots many years ago and the manager was always a Pharmacist with a very professional attitude , DH's golf partner was one, but perhaps times change, however standards don't with me. Am I a dinosaur?
