My dgd makes a nest on my bed with the cushions, and plays on my tablet while I get ready.

I don't have them on the beds, too much faf but do have several in the lounge.
I often use the ones in hotels on top of the pillow when sleeping as hotel pillows are always too soft for me. H's gets chucked in the corner

Hating cushions? Gosh!

I have a bed full of cushions and I love them.

They aren't just decorative though, I use them for being propped up when I have a cold and cough. Rest my knee on them when its being tricky, prop my arm up on them if i want to lie on my side and read. Throw them at the dog when he's snoring.

But if you dont like them, pop them to one side and just put them back on your last day there.

I like cushions in arm chairs, I can use them to make myself really comfortable. Cushions in bedrooms? Hate them, hate them, hate them.

Synonymous's first paragraph!! We have them in all the bedrooms and make the rooms feel more inviting in my opinion.

Do people still call them scatter cushions?

Oh, wait! House-sitting, not hotel-sitting. Delete no.3

Chuck 'em on the floor in a corner.

Stuff them in (or on top of) a wardrobe/cupboard.

Ask hotel staff to take them away.

Use them or move them I suppose. They are just decorative really although if you have a TV in your room or want to lounge and read etc you can use them. smile
I have seen some really beautiful cushions in gorgeous colours and fabrics with imaginative trims which really add to the ambiance of the room. It all makes work for the working man or woman to do and you don't have to deal with them permanently so do enjoy your stay. cupcake

We are house sitting for relatives and on going into our designated bedroom we find scatter cushions on the bed hmm. This really irritates me. What are we supposed to do with them? I have got them stacked up on the sofa.

Can someone please explain the point of these great cushions which seem to have infiltrated lots of hotels too. I hate them.
