Is it purely coincidence that I have recently received my V5 change of ownership certificate...and.............!! that I have suddenly got spam emails...asking if I would like a "Log book loan"!! hmm

Sounds fishy to me too. Maybe there is a box you have to tick or untick for them to share or not share your details ?

I'm not sure if they still do but they used to sell people's details.

We have very recent evidence of their incompetence, anything is possible. In our case they refunded too much car tax and we are now waiting for them to sort that out.

Also, my car has had 2 owners, me before we moved and me since we moved. I only changed the address, not the owner.

They lost a passport of my GD and birth certificate, both where sent next day delivery and signed for at DVLA...who refused to accept responsibility and compensate...neither document has been traced..angry

It sounds very suspicious biker I enquired about travel insurance and got bombarded for weeks with spam,a complete nightmare.xx

That sounds like a scam. I would think about ticking "no thanks" boxes.
