Don’t you have to buckle up in a taxi ?
Really annoys me when people think they are above some sensible rules

Look what happened to Princess Diana when she sat in the back of a car without seat belt.

Back in the days of no back seat, seat belts to boys at my DC's primary school were killed when youths in a stolen car drove into their parent's car at speed and the two boys catapulted over their parents heads and hit the windscreen. Both died.

Yes, be angry, refuse to travel in a car with her unless she wears her seat belt, but keep socialising, some really nice people do unbelievably stupid things.

Shared a taxi with a friend this morning. we were both in the back and as we moved on she declined to put seatbelt on.

I pointed out that if we had a bump an unbelted person in the car was a danger to both of us and the driver. She said it wouldn’t happen but if it did it did.

She reacted as though I was a bit of a wimp, couldn’t seem to grasp that the issue was that even if she wasn’t concerned about her own safety I cared about mine!

AIBU to feel rather angry, with a reluctance to socialise with her any more?
