A brighter future?

Everything is happening for the best, ain't it? I always hope that the future is brighter, but oh well, we never know till we reach it...

So good to hear reassuringly solid comments from the latest chapter. "Will explore the possibilities......." etc.
Scottish fishermen left dangling and I still can't see any real progress on NI.
I suppose near-disaster is marginally brighter than total disaster.

Of course anything is better than crashing out, but use of the word 'brighter' just struck me as being particularly lame as this draft deal is so lacking in specifics.

Perhaps she means brighter than if we crash out without a deal.

I wonder if she means a brighter future as opposed to no deal?

Nothing will be better than what we have now.

AIBU to wonder why May is describing the draft deal as a 'brighter future' for the UK when she voted to remain.

I know she has to put a gloss on things but does anyone really believe that she believes, that this deal will mean a brighter future, compared to what we have now?
