Greta Thunberg, Amazing or not.?

It’s not making people have miserable lives, it’s being truthful & making people aware that we all need to do our bit , however small to stave of & slow down what will eventually be the inevitable, that means doing what we can FOR OUR children & THEIR children.

I suppose she's getting her 5 minutes of fame since her parents too are in the spotlight with one being an opera singer and the other an actor.

I am no hypocrite . I can assure you of that. I know myself and I know my family . I will not have them insulted !

IMVHO she is not amazing at all, she’s on some kind of bandwagon and she is scare mongering normal healthy children into having miserable lives. Jeez my DGC already have quite hard lives without listening to this “this grim reaper kid” .

Perhaps I should have said what she is doing, trying to achieve is amazing, rather her actual self, bad Wording, Grammar on my part.

I hasten to add that my DGC are clever, normal, happy, sporty, positive children who do not see this doom merchant “weirdo” woman/child as a second coming of Christ thank goodness.

That's too big a thing for humans, with their faults and flaws, to live up to.

How sad that your grandchildren can only see her as a weirdo , well I guess that just about sums up the up hill battle that some will have to undertake to preserve the planet but with that attitude & ignorance of your family it really makes you wonder why.

Not . I have 4 DGC ranging from 1 to almost 13. With the exception of the baby they all think she is a weirdo. I attend to agree. Poor girl. She is living in a fantasy world and being worked by puppeteers . Come back down to earth please GT and do what your peers are doing. Living their lives and looking after their environment as best they can.

I'm not saying la la la about climate change nor would I rip into a 16 year old girl.

However, I doubt very much that she'll read this and all I think about her is sadness. Sad that he childhood has been ruined and she's allowed herself to get into such a state of distress without any help from family.

She's got her parents are the climate change champions making money out of her.

Her breakdown yesterday was shocking to see. Had she been my child I'd have whisked her away.

Brilliant determined young lady, unapologetically real and confident in her own self. It's a shame that people cannot grasp the magnitude of a dying planet and would rather stick their fingers in their ears la la la and say awful things about a child on the news articles I have read

I think she is amazing. She has already achieved in one year more than most of us have in long lifetimes. At sixteen the average kid can probably influence about a dozen others at most. Her words have informed and inspired people on every continent.

I wish people would take time to consider the enormity of what she is warning about, and drop the irrelevant, relentless criticism of her appearance, health, family, choice of transport etc etc. I just can't understand why people are objecting to being told that we are all in peril and need to change our ways in order to survive. Would you really rather bumble along in utter ignorance until it is Just Too Late???

Actually, IMO, not.
Too much emphasis on my future rather than our future, near hysterical presentation - more is too often less.
No doubt an unusual, even remarkable young lady, but unique? Amazing?
