You are judging your Grandchildren Gilly, as you have every right to do. but I am sure you wouldn’t want others to call them ‘ weirdos ‘ and if they did I am also pretty sure you would have something to say about.

Well I’m going out to look for a big stick to lash myself with . My “language” is clearly unforgivable . I do hope some of you can get over it and it hasn’t ruined your day or even lives .

One thing I don’t worry about is that my DGC are normal happy children who live their lives caring about others without trying to scare other children half to death as miss T seems to enjoy doing .

We are all alive during the birth of some enormous paradigm shift in morality.

Young and frail as she is Greta is one of the midwives but she's not the only one. It's the moral vanguard who always receive the threats from entrenched interests and sheer ignorance..

Gilly, children learn values from significant adults, such as your grandchildren from you.

Caring about the planet isn’t weird, it is necessary don’t shoot the messenger , listen to the message. Perhaps your family would enjoy getting involved & doing their bit if they understood more about the topic

I sincerely apologise for putting words into my DGC’s mouths. The word “probably” should have been inserted at some point .

In reality I sincerely hope they don’t listen to, or watch a single word that comes from her mouth .

My DGC are normal ( dare I say happy) children living normal lives . They are all very environmentally aware but why should their childhood be blighted by the scaremongering of this grim reaper girl?

It's interesting how GT comes across to different people, but we have to remember she is only one of many many.
I interview budding youngsters for places at top educational establishments and for the past five years or so their main concerns have commendably focused on climate change and the environment. Lately however so many of them just seem to be trotting out rehearsed platitudes in an over passionate voice which starts to wear thin. At times it's almost as though they're copying GT's mannerisms and frankly the content of the message is only of secondary importance. Her team needs perhaps to ensure that her over exposure and her mass following amongst youngsters does not start to irritate people and have a negative effect.

Firstly. My DGC have not /did not call GT a weirdo.
Secondly it was me who (way back in this thread) referred to her as a weirdo for which I have since apologised .

I think maybe you should check your facts before trying to start an argument .

Gonegirl we have to make vans last a long time . We look after them very well and have them regularly serviced . We ( like most other small businesses) have to think long and hard before buying a new one. We also work country wide and wonder how many hours of the day we would spend editing for a vehicle to charge and how many hours work we would actually achieve ? Ok so technology may improve but as it stands it is not up to scratch .
