I find I am turning to Gransnet less and less because of the nasty bitter comments. Surely we should be pulling together and supporting each other.

The problem is that we have all arrived here as dear little babies due to the impulses of our parents.
We ,like all before us have no choice of the circumstances that we are born into.
Some make the most of , some do not, some better themselves, some waste it all & choose a life of destruction, some mean, cruel, some kind thoughtful.
Those who despite their circumstances choose to do what they can for others should be applauded for that.
I will repeat again the RF may be out mode, time will tell, but they are here, so let’s not forget if we get rid of them we also get rid of a means of employment for 100s of people plus the knock on effect of those who can make a living from them by other means.
In my community there are folks who have choosen private health care ,those of us who cannot , if I hate those that pay, I won’t be seen any quicker, and whilst I sit in my warm home eating a meal & watching the News, I see footage of dying starving families , those with nothing not even hope, It is not a one way situated, sadly never has been never will be.
There are People in Power across the World who are deserving of our contempt & for their wilful cruelty to those they rule over.
I cannot put the RF in a category such as that , it may be a flawed out dated concept, but it also has a positive place in society which like it or not does have a purpose, not just for them but for others also.

Now that Buckingham Palace is empty, it's to be refitted as a hospital and convalescent home. The Queen is paying for it all by herself; Camilla and Kate are presently being measured for nursing uniforms. Wills is in charge of medivac and the Scots are holding Chuck hostage - they're happy to deliver him up the Thames with the Trident fleet but his Mum's not interested for he's always been a sap and she's glad to see the back of him.

For the record I have 2 . One for me and DH and one for the grandchildren who I would normally have sleeping over at least 2 nights a week .

The testing of the illegal immigrants was necessary to protect our public services who have to process and care for them.
People who are desperate enough to do what they did are unlikely to be in the best of health and almost certainly been shoulder to shoulder with others who have serious diseases.

Being practical doesn’t mean the royals should have their own private physicians on hand just for themselves . While seriously ill people are being told their operations are cancelled or to dial 111 ( and good luck getting through) and some are dying as a result . Can you not see the irony ? We are not all the same, their lives are clearly more precious than yours or mine.

The Queen is head of state and head of the commonwealth, if
she were to die during this pandemic what a bloody pickle.

Pointless to say we don’t need her get rid of them all , this can’t
be done in a week. The government has more than enough to
deal with without a dead monarch, as do the commonwealth without a head.

Prince Charles was tested because he had been in contact with many people. The illegal immigrants presumably will be in custody.

It absolutely is GrannyGravy I’m so sorry. It’s just too soon . Seeing these harrowing photos of people on ventilators is just too much to bear . My DH’s life was saved by a ventilator and the round the clock care of highly trained, specialist nurses and anaesthetists .

Of course they will have their private physicians with them. I mean why on earth would these highly trained medics want to look after hundreds of people when they can look after 2 who's lives are presumably far more precious.

I did not say he definitely had one, or where it might have come from Annie . The rf have plenty money to buy their own and I would imagine the people who make them would make one for anyone with enough money to buy one.....

but, and its a big but, unless they had one previous to the CV outbreak I think even the rf would struggle to get one at the moment .

A ventilator is not a "plug and play" piece of equipment it needs highly trained medical staff to run it 24/7 and almost always has to be used in conjunction with drugs to induce a coma.

It has been on every news bulletin that PC and the Queen have their physicians with them at the moment, not sure about The Cambridges as nothing has been released.
