Exactement

Anniebach Thu 26-Mar-20 14:51:11

Why not Greymar ? What’s good about this forum there are
threads we can read and threads we can choose not to read.

I am bothering because 1. I'm bored

2. I would like to see how other people view things.

3. I can

4. I wondered if anybody would respond on the manner you did 3nanny6

rafichagran Thu 26-Mar-20 14:46:25

I wish him well as well.

3nanny6 Thu 26-Mar-20 14:44:16

Greymar : In that case why are you even bothering to post if you do not like what is on here.

Greymar Thu 26-Mar-20 14:40:15

Why right now is anybody bothered about where Prince Charles sleeps of whether or not Diana was decent person?

3nanny6 Thu 26-Mar-20 14:37:28

PC has tested positive. Camilla has not got coronavirus.
I listened to a chat about it on the radio and they were saying
that they possibly (not definitely) keep distance from each other. It had to be asked "What about the sleeping arrangements" It went very quiet and the host of the show said
we will leave that to your own imaginations.
At least it gave me a little laugh and smile and my imagination is still trying to work it out.

Prince Charles may have had many more opportunities to infect others if he’d carried on his schedule of engagements, whatever they may have been. When he fell ill he was tested. If he hadn’t been and continued his usual routine and infected many others he’d have been a super spreader. I’m glad he’s been tested as it may have saved others whether in his own family or elsewhere. I hope he recovers and he’s an older man with grandchildren. I doubt he will be a drain on the NHS.

Anniebach Thu 26-Mar-20 14:23:13

many certainty haven’t accepted he wasn’t married to a Saint.

ananimous Thu 26-Mar-20 14:20:50

...or ever will.

ananimous Thu 26-Mar-20 14:19:43

I don't think we've forgiven him for you-know-what

Anniebach Thu 26-Mar-20 14:18:32

I don’t understand the anger at Charles for going to Birkhall,
He has always gone there , it’s his home, he has to live in
London because of his job, he doesn’t own Clarence House,
in Balmoral he has the freedom to do as we all do, walk without being shut behind gates .

If I had to work in London I would be back in Wales in the
mountains whenever possible.

Good to hear your daughter has the right kit now maddyone. I agree with you about not sweating the small stuff, and crises like this one bringing out the best in some of us.
Anger and outrage are exhausting and pointless emotions. Not that we don't all experience them, we are human. It's how we manage them, rather than be spitting feathers to no avail. (my northern girl coming out there)

Bridgeit Thu 26-Mar-20 13:43:11

Surely the disease has the potential to be devastating everywhere, so why Paddyann do you suggest that PC should go down South?
Are you saying that those down South don’t matter ?

Grannynannywanny Thu 26-Mar-20 13:34:31

I read about last night Maddy. Utterly despicable behaviour. At times it appears there are no limits to how low some can sink. A few weeks back,at the start of the crisis, hospital visitors were stealing masks and gloves from patients bedsides where my daughter works. Not content at stealing hand sanitizer from the wall some of the holders were broken from the walls. Thankfully those despicable beings are in the minority. How heartening it was to see the huge numbers who have volunteered in their many thousands to help in communities in any way they can.

maddyone Thu 26-Mar-20 13:26:02

Annie sometimes a crisis brings out the worst in people, in other people it brings out the best.

Anniebach Thu 26-Mar-20 13:21:41

Good grief maddy. that is frightening, I was shocked reading
.our local site to learn milk is being stolen from front door steps but mugging NHS staff , evil , evil, evil, evil.

maddyone Thu 26-Mar-20 12:54:08

And NHS staff have been mugged for their NHS identification, this worries me more than Prince Charles getting a Coronavirus test. This is what we all should be concerned about.
Don’t sweat the small stuff.

maddyone Thu 26-Mar-20 12:24:51

Thanks Annie worrying times for us all.

Anniebach Thu 26-Mar-20 12:20:50

Anniebach Thu 26-Mar-20 12:19:36

So paddyann everyone must return to the country of their
birth.

You are repeating rumours from an area you say everyone is
angry !

maddyone Thu 26-Mar-20 12:19:04

I am not angry, but I am a little relieved, because today my daughter, a GP, has at long last been issued with some protective clothing, a surgical gown, a plastic apron, and a very inadequate looking nose/mouth mask. Oh and the usual examination gloves. It’s not the proper FFP3 which as my son in law said, is twenty times better than that which she was issued with. But my son in law says we shouldn’t be too relieved because basically totally it’s inadequate. Today she has had to do intimate examinations of people who may, or may not, be carrying Coronavirus.

paddyanne Thu 26-Mar-20 12:13:33

My friend who is just recovering from cancer lives in the area where Charlie has set up camp.He says that the staff have been in and out of the town since Sunday ,now its being said that 8 or 10 also have the infection. Its not a large area resources are limited .Theres a backlash online and on the street about his entitlement to disrupt and potentially end lives with his selfishness .He has multiple homes down south ,why bring the disease to an area where where the spread would have devastating effect?Summerlove it has been confirmed he had the symptoms when he arrived .

Anniebach Thu 26-Mar-20 11:54:57

Grannynanny I do understand but still say , who will choose
key workers ? If there were just two doctors or nurses in need
of testing I would be angry that two people not involved in
caring for the sick were tested but it isn’t so .

Hope the tests will become available very soon.

Summerlove Thu 26-Mar-20 11:52:39

Prince Charles has the ability to have infected more people than somebody in a hospital. It’s unfortunate but it’s true. I’m also betting that many front line healthcare workers would appreciate more high profile people being tested and showing that they are isolating to try to keep more average people at home.

It’s pretty obvious that many, many people are not taking this seriously, and the more high profile people we see, the more chances that everybody else might start staying home.

If I were the type to wear a tinfoil hat, I would suggest the Charles hasn’t been tested at all, and is being used as a PR case.
