M.i.l.'s care home fees have just gone up £50 a week!!

We're so pleased she is where she is, the care home and staff are lovely but on Monday we were told the fees were going up by £50 a weekshock.

Am I being unreasonably cynical to think this may have something to do with the current situation as no mention was made of this before?

Yes, I'm convinced it will be something to do with the virus.

I suppose it's coming up to a new financial year, though, so maybe its that?

My DS died last year, but the week before she passed we had notice that their fees had gone up £60 a week, eye watering. Their level of care was marvellous but even so.....
