One of mine is interviewers on tv and radio who take over the interview and constantly interrupt with their viewpoint. Very, very annoying and there seems to be a lot of them these days. We need more like the wonderful Michael Parkinson.

lemsip I laugh that off as the graveyard shift by washed out actors and tv presenters

lemsip Sat 23-Jan-21 20:20:48

am offended by the afternoon funeral ads by various tv people, Michael Parkinson, Debbie Mcgee etc.

Callistemon ??

Callistemon Sat 23-Jan-21 20:09:53

Jaxjacky I open packages with a knife or scissors then notice a sign that says

Do not use ? or ✂️ to open

Jaxjacky Sat 23-Jan-21 20:06:14

Packaging, I shouldn’t need to get scissors or a knife out to undo so many things, porridge oats yesterday, particularly when they spill ( the oats didn’t), white sugar is another culprit.
People who don’t use their indicators in cars.

People referring to children as kids. Hate that. People who don’t say ‘please’ or ‘thank you’. People who pick their nose.

Feedback, and being constantly asked for it NO !!!!

Dinahmo Sat 23-Jan-21 18:44:39

hubby, brew and cuppa.

Dinahmo Sat 23-Jan-21 18:42:33

People who accentuate their local accents. A friend used to operate the autocue for Cilla Black when when did blind date. She had to type "lorra, lorra" instead of "lots of", or "many" so that CB would remember to say the words in a Scouse accent.

lemsip Sat 23-Jan-21 17:51:16

people who ignore the title of the op is my dislike

the Title is. ...Pet hates but keep it ‘nice’...

Pushing the envelope

What does it mean. I push envelopes into the rubbish bin but I don’t think that is the same ?

The word "snowflake" to describe the younger generation
Oh and "nitpickers"

Kate1949 Sat 23-Jan-21 17:20:46

No Grannynanny You're not imagining it.

EllanVannin Sat 23-Jan-21 16:42:37

I'm with Lucca with the excessive lip fillers.
They all look like cod's heads grin Look at a whole cod in a fish shop and you'll see what I mean. hahahaha.

You could hang a kettle on the bottom lip.

MissAdventure Sat 23-Jan-21 16:40:50

Oh yes, dog poo!
In bags, on paths, grass, or anywhere it shouldn't be. Ugh!!!

Nell8 Sat 23-Jan-21 16:35:19

Bags of dog poo left dangling from the bushes on my favourite walks. Why do people do it?

When people say "The trouble is is that...." Why do people do it?

Team building exercises/role play during work training.

Ludicrous warnings on labels. One on a top I bought told me 'not to iron while wearing'. On my pack of almonds 'contains nuts'.

LullyDully Sat 23-Jan-21 16:16:14

I dislike all the adverts which show shots of women's bottoms because you can't see her invisible pad. Especially the woman who lifts the weights and squats down. Yuk.

Also anything which show animals in close.mouth contact with a human's mouth. Double yuk.

Oh my God I hate inspirational quotes.

JanetG Sat 23-Jan-21 16:06:00

People who litter, either physically with rubbish, or verbally with excessive casual swearing. I save a good swear for when I drop frozen peas on the kitchen floor, or similar! Not just to punctuate everyday language.

MissAdventure Sat 23-Jan-21 15:54:00

Inspirational quotes.
Sorry, I really mean no offence to the person who just made a thread about them, but it reminded me how much they get on my wick!

rockgran Sat 23-Jan-21 15:53:41

To name a couple of niggles:-
Lingo - only watched a few minutes before the "haitch" problem made me switch off!
I also dislike the current tendency by some to say "v" instead of "th".

I 'hate' the fact that such simple things bother me!confused

Grannynannywanny Sat 23-Jan-21 15:37:52

Kate1949

People on TV, including news readers, who can't say 'sixth', which is most of them. Most say 'sick'

I mentioned that just the other day chatting to my daughter and she said she’d never noticed it. I began to thinking I was imagining it.

EkwaNimitee Sat 23-Jan-21 15:25:01

A few of my annoyances shared on here already ! Plus... I find myself snorting at the radio when yet another presenter says ‘tuh’ instead of ‘to’ . On the internet, when shopping, being asked to set up an account with yet another password when I probably won’t buy from that concern again. Also on the internet, that cookie consent pop up needing attention before I can proceed! It’s all trivial stuff really. I reserve anger for the serious things, some already mentioned.
