I feel so angry with Meghan & Harry

All the drivel about privacy and they do an interview with Oprah. I feel ashamed for Harry that he feels the need to air his dirty linen in public. What do they get from this? I have no idea. Prince Philip is in hospital and I just feel like saying shame on you both.

It is not Harry's fault.its Meghan she is a spoilt madam .what she wants she gets .its a pity harry didn't get to know her first before he married her.

Nooooooo trisher I don't want a cooperative. I want to be a RG. It's not fair. I'll never get my Oprah interview if I don't have a titleangry.

I can't knit either maddyone which is why I get one my staff to knit for me but if I'm not a RG whose going to knit for me?

I wish Oprah would get off the 'phone so I can tell her I might be losing my RG status and we need to get that interview done now.

Go Meghan, you are so right Nezumi65, how very observant, she certainly did.

Callistemon Sat 06-Mar-21 11:20:43

Go Meghan go Meghan.

She heard you, Nezumi!
She went
But not quietly

Nezumi65 Sat 06-Mar-21 11:18:32

Go Meghan go Meghan. Team Meghan here.

NellG: who can resist a joke about the Bishop and the actress...

Wish I was so quick-witted.

NellG

I propose a splinter group for those of us who don't meet the criteria - the Secret Alternative Group of Grans - Independent, Equal and Separate!

The SAGGIES will make a bid for mob rule.

Can I apply to be a SAGGIE please. I have many of the qualities implied in the title, and would be a natural at naked twister. Are we divided in to classes of saggie? Extreme saggie, a tad saggie, on the way to sagginess but not quite there yet?

Marydoll

Callistemon years ago, I kept reading about a shop called Hennes in all the magazines. It was the place to go, to be on trend. On a trip to London, I persuaded DH to accompany me to it, (with my secret stash of cash) . I was in and out in five minutes with nothing. What a disappointment!!!

Marydoll most of my children's clothes were home-made by me but I remember taking DD1 to Hennes when she was about 8 and she chose her first 'fashionable' outfit from a shop.
It was very nice, a little skirt and waistcoat and a white frilly blouse!

She wore it with her tiara
(We're impoverished aristos, it's the upkeep of the crumbling stately pile that drains our inheritance.)

Well some said the Savoy- I should point out that other hotels are available.

LauraNorder Sat 06-Mar-21 10:32:43

The savoy heh Trisher, we are all senior Grans but some are more senior than others.

BoxingBabe Sat 06-Mar-21 10:32:33

Harry and Megan are hypocrits. They negotiate deals for loads of money on the basis that they are caring and do a lot for charity. I'm don't think the people who cannot pay their bills or feed their kids will want to watch Oprah.

I thought the divvy was now living in the sunny uplands of California NellG?

I would like to have the kudos of being a Senior Gran, but don’t think I’m senior enough although I have had Matty Hancock’s jab. However, I like to think I am royal enough to gain entry. I can borrow grandaughters’s sparkly tiara from her dressing up box.

NellG

trisher will we get stamps and a divvy?

Stamps and dividends will be dependant on the net profit accrued after all expenses have been paid. Senior officers of the cooperative have already indicated a real necessity to stay at the Savoy, so I wouldn't depend on it if I was you.

A cure for insomnia.
I will tape it and play it back at bedtime.
NOT.

LauraNorder Sat 06-Mar-21 10:22:32

Maddyone my spare is called Peckin Norder, I also have Standin Norder who works in the post office and Gaggin Norder who isn’t allowed to give interviews

NellG Sat 06-Mar-21 10:14:33

trisher will we get stamps and a divvy?

NellG Sat 06-Mar-21 10:13:36

I thought it was Hermes ( with the accent, not the shoddy parcel delivery) and Montblanc.

maddyone Sat 06-Mar-21 10:13:34

I definitely want to join, but I’m not sure if I’m senior or royal enough. I can’t knit either, but I can make a mean Kir Royale if that will do. I’ve got two sons so definitely got a spare, and a daughter too, so two spares these days.

Look I'm sorry but I can't buy into this "Royal Grans" I'm afraid I'm going to have to demand that all tiaras/silver salvers etc become public property (we can flog them off later). Any interviews with Oprah will have to be collectively agreed beforehand. All titles, ranks and awards will be withdrawn and we must declare ourselves a GN Cooperative!!! (As I can't remember how long I've been on GN anyway)

Smileless2012 Sat 06-Mar-21 10:10:08

I should say so LauraNorder. Did the interview have anything to do with your inside knowledge about the recreational activities of politicians requiring an orange and a black bin bag by any chance?

If so, would you like to furnish us with some details or is it top secret?

LauraNorder Sat 06-Mar-21 10:04:43

H&M? Isn’t that some sort of politicians recreation involving an orange and a black bin bag.

LauraNorder Sat 06-Mar-21 10:02:50

Smileless, I have been interviewed by the local constabulary, does that count?

Callistemon Sat 06-Mar-21 10:02:01

By the way why all this fuss about H&M - it's a shop, isn't it?
I'm senior enough to remember when it was called Hennes, annodomini

GrannyGravy13 Sat 06-Mar-21 09:59:32

Blimey LauraNorder how do you know I have a silver salver???

I have been known to be very norty , lost my tiara at a posh do many years ago (I think it was in the cloakroom, a bit too much bolly) ???
