After seeing reviews on these blankets I’ve bought one for my daughter for Xmas. She doesn’t sleep well, so I’m hoping this will help. ?

Thank you all for your comments and condolences. I don't like being hot in bed so not sure placing loads of blankets on top of each other will make me sleep lol. I will ponder on it. Happy Christmas everyone x

Worth considering then, thank you ??

For anyone thinking of getting one, do a test first and pile on loads of bedding to see if you sleep better. I noticed that I did, so went ahead and ordered one.

I don't know about Koala having continual sales but I chose that brand because it came out top in tests for weighted blankets a few years ago.

Shinamae The weight makes it very comforting. It has been proved to be very calming to children with autism. Sleeping beneath mine has stopped me tossing and turning all night.

Shinamae

I am curious, can somebody tell me the advantages of a weighted blanket over a duvet please?

It’s heavy, rather than warm, is the best way I can describe it! smile

... and I am so sorry for your loss Clevedon flowers

Yes I love mine from John Lewis. Be aware that Koala have permanent ‘sales’, not genuine reductions.

We have a very heavy bedspread with glass beads all round making even heavier - we have it over a mid weight duvet and find it lovely. We both sleep much better and don’t move much at all.

Yes, they work for me.

First time, I bought the weight indicated by the company for my personal weight, but got used to it very quickly. I then got another one, designed for a much heavier person, and am delighted with it. It feels very comforting and I sleep deeply under it, with no tossing and turning.

Sorry for your bereavements Clevedon. I hope a blanket would help you. Perhaps you could buy from a company that gives a money back guarantee?

My Grandson loves the paw patrol one that we bought him, he is Autistic and had trouble staying asleep but has slept through every night since he started sleeping under it.

I’ve often thought about buying one - I’ll look at the sale mentioned.

Yes, they work and I love mine. I've had it for about 2-3 years and can't wait to get beneath it every bedtime. I find it very comforting. I bought the Koala brand. They have got a sale on at the moment. I know because they sent me an email.

Hi, I am having trouble sleeping after recently losing both of my elderly parents in quick succession ?.
Has anyone tried these weighted blankets? Do they work?
