Lovely Surprise

I was in M and S today and had quite a few offers on my Sparks card. There is still a good sale on too. When I went to the till to pay l had amassed £86 of goods after the offers had been taken off. At this point the assistant told me I had nothing to pay. Apparently every so often a customer is chosen, presumably at random, to have free shopping and l was the lucky one today. I have never had anything like this before but just wanted to share my good fortune.

Wow, nice! Enjoy your free items. I hope they weren't too practical, haha.

Congratulations

Well done you. Delighted. I had similar good fortune once at the Tesco checkout. Unfortunately I wasn't buying much but it certainly lifted my mood. Had no idea they did this.

I was pleasantly surprised as I had no idea either. One of the items was a very pretty pink cardigan that I bought for my daughter’s birthday.

Brilliant that’s lovely!

It’s nice to hear that somebody actually wins these things. Well done. It puts the free pastry we collected today in the shade.

Lovely news, thank you for sharing.

Lucky you! I hope you spent it on yourself

I never seem to get any advantages from my Sparks card.
Mind you, half the time I forget to take it with me.

Wow that's good! Nice to know that someone actually does get their shopping free and it's not just a gimmick

Thank you for letting us know of your good news.

That's amazing! Congratulations!

Only surprise I had was in Morrisons several months ago, I was given a bunch of roses from a member of staff because it was 'gratitude day'.

Musicgirl, what a lovely treat for you.

My daughter lives very close to a Waitrose store and often calls in with her three boys in tow. The staff there very often give her flowers or gifts to her boys, which they are able to do at their discretion.

You have to have them put on to your card Callistemon. The best way is to have the M & S app on your phone, enter your card number to link it to the app. There is a section on the app for Sparks, there you will see all the offers but you have to add them if you want to take advantage of them. If you don’t want to use the app if you ask at the checkout they will load the offers on to your card and tell you what offers there are but having the app is much better as you can see the offers for yourself and there is often something free such as our free pastry today.

Oh that’s a lovely unexpected treat ? I had two free treats to pick up from the food hall yesterday they were out of stock of both so came away empty handed ?

BlueBelle Thu 10-Mar-22 07:13:12

The one item I buy from M and S every two or three years probably wouldn’t qualify me would it ?

Aveline Thu 10-Mar-22 09:11:44

That's great. It's good to hear that someone actually got this. I'd read about the possibility and am ever hopeful. I've downloaded 15 offers this week from the Sparks app but none of them are for anything I actually want!
