I would definitely report him to Uber. Ghastly man, I’d request they follow it up with you afterwards and let you know what they will be doing about their homophobic driver.
Sorry hear that you lost friends to AIDS ?

I agree report him ! Everyone is entitled to their opinions & views, but shouldn't not air them to passengers he/ she does not know. Depending who is in the car when he is airing then could turn out quite nasty

I have just come back from visiting my daughter and her boyfriend in Bristol. We had a lovely weekend going to the theatre and to the Pride festival in Clifton downs. The atmosphere was amazing and I felt quite emotional at how people could be themselves and be accepted without any hostility or discrimination. Having lived through the decades of homophobia and losing friends to Aids I felt overwhelmed .
However on the uber journey back to the station to get the train home the driver went into a prolonged rant on the evils of gay people and how they will all go to hell. Now I know that people are entitled to their own views but he was very hostile and I couldn't get a word in at all.
I am thinking maybe I should report him to Uber as I am concerned he may upset and be like this to a gay couple. I would hate anyone to be frightened by him or to affect their self esteem.
What are your thoughts on this please ?
