Perhaps little ones will be in bed by 9. I think that’s the watershed?

It is, but do they need to be protected against knowing about periods until they are old enough to be watching TV at 9.00? These days many girls reach puberty at 9 or 10.

This is so demeaning to all women! Men have bladder leaks as well…but you wouldn’t think so!

I guess that market research realised that single men did actually wash their clothes and needed a push in the right direction to buy their product. Probably not as irritating as the one with the lady that only realises at the last minute that she has nothing to wear for a job interview . I agree about the lady on the loo. Most unsavoury.

What happens at 9.00 that makes sanpro become acceptable?

Some ads are a bit personal though. I remember years ago when the Viagra-type ones started up - my children were still at home and would scrutinise the reactions of Mr Dog and me every time they came on. It was funny, as we weren't in need of them, but it might have been awkward if we had been.

I don't mind the clean shirt for a date ad , but like Bluebell I hate the donkey with the Scottish accent .

Nothing wrong with donkeys nor Scottish accents ( love them ) but the combination is really peculiar .

My pet hate - the endless funeral plans , which are almost back to back and the hard sell Dormeo mattress topper ads that go on forever .

I mute the TV when they are on .

I don't like ads for any sort of pads especially before 9pm.

Dickens The idea that a mundane household cleaning agent can transform your life is just rather silly. Of course it's nice to put on clean fresh clothes - we do it every day, it's part of life's ritual but it's not going to make or break your 'date' night!

Clean clothes - or lack of - would "make or break a date night^ as far as I'm concerned!

I met someone on a blind date many years ago and he turned up in old worn cords with baggy knees, a stained tee shirt and muddy shoes. We didn't meet again.

The one I find most creepy is the bloody Scottish donkey or horse or whatever it is in someone’s bathroom chatting a way about toothpaste whoever came up with that idea is a bit warped I think

I don't think it's creepy, just OTT - as are all the ads in the 'series'.

Personally, I just purchase whichever product is the cheapest at the time I'm shopping - saving money on necessary household products is far more rewarding!

I want the ability to produce clean ironed washing immediately - the girls seem to manage this in about 5 mins

I always thought it was nice that they wanted Dad to have a life. Funny how we all see things differently.
