Am I too old by taking a year out aged 75 to travel and visit family and sightseeing all within financial constraints

Go for it my parents flew with me in their early 90’s to Tokyo. My D hadn’t been there since WW2 they had a great time went all over the place. Do as much as you can while you are able too. How exciting it will be

Try cruising if you haven't already. It's a great way to see the world and meet lots of lovely people, many of whom will be single travellers like yourself - in fact go on a world cruise! I'm volunteering to carry your bags 😊🙌

I am 76 and have started going away for 3 months every winter on my own. Last year I went to a Caribbean island and rented a villa. It was great to miss most of the winter.
Definitely not too old, sometimes you have to jump and grow your wings on the way down!
The thing I would be careful of is the granny flat at your daughters. I have known this happen with many people and it rarely works out!

Go for it. I am 82 and in February flew out to Thailand to visit my son and family. Unfortunately I had an accident, ended up in hospital and being medically evacuated home. I hope to go again next year as I don't want this to be my last memory

Oh please go and do it. On fb there are a few groups for women over 50 that travel solo, have a look and see how much fun they are having.

You are only too old when you stop breathing!! you may not always be able to travel as you could when you were younger but you will find a way. I am 77 and still travelling and planning to keep doing it as long as possible. The only real regrets when you look back over life is what you didnt do. Even things that you did not enjoy in the end , was worth experiencing and you find out things about yourself and live the life that whilst you were bringing up a family , no doubt had to put things on hold, or fit in with other people . You're definitely not too old but slightly more vulnerable if you're going alone. My DH and I have done a lot of travelling and it's always useful having another person for carrying things, minding them when you go to the toilet, decision making, sharing costs. Having said that it's wonderful to go travelling with or without a companion so follow your own instincts. Have fun.

Go explore, do not let any negativity stop you. Especially what ifs, we’d never live our life’s if it was all about, but what if.

Not too old at all, take out good life insurance and sort out any repeat meds and take emergency medical kit and have a ball - good luck, I’m very jealous xxx

If you want to do it, then you are not too old!

Just make sure if you need any medicine that you have a supply with you and a letter from your GP stating why you take it, as a precaution at Customs and if you should need a doctor while away.
