He wasn’t going to be arrested for being ‘ openly Jewish’. It was because he was refusing to stay put, rightly or wrongly, instead of crossing the road whereupon, according to the policeman, someone on the March might just be antagonised by someone who was ‘openly Jewish ‘, which might in turn have lead to a disturbance. I dare say the police have experienced such incidents.

Gideon Falter was not being provocative, he wanted to film the protest, to prove that antisemitic slogans and banners are being blatantly paraded through our capital city, but according to some he is in the wrong?

We are stepping back in time, know your place, stay in your area, t some streets/areas are not for you on your sabbath, what a shameful message to send to the Jewish community.

So why did he deliberately walk into the road against the flow of the demonstration? He could have stood on the pavement with his crew and filmed them.

Feeling intimidated by these marches is not exclusive to the Jewish community.

I don’t live near London and haven’t been there since 7 October. But if I did want to go, I’m sure I’d feel more anxious about it if I was Jewish than I do as a non-Jewish person imagining going. Especially as apparently the route of the march changes every week, making it harder to avoid.

Baiting the police comes across as offensive to. The police officer did an excellent job under difficult circumstances.

We've all agreed on that. However a great deal more is going on.

I think people can take words out of context and find them offensive when the intention to insult wasn't there. I have heard a black woman calling her DH a silly old nigger while giving him a hug.
Was openly Jewish meant to insult? I don't believe so.
People take offence far too easily these days which makes light of the truly horrible racist, antisemitic words that are spoken.
