Turned away from voting as he didn’t have his ID!

How on earth did he become PM especially during the crisis during the covid epidemic.

There is already a thread about this called “delicious irony”

As the people manning the polling station are required to keep confidentiality, and impartiality, what happened, anything goes as long as it's Boris. . Who blabbed he'd gone back with ID. One of the Polling Clerks.

My daughter has many years of Polling Officer, she was appalled that this had been leaked.

Did t see the other thread.

Be easy enough for other voters to be aware at the time.
Heaven forbid he did it for the publicity, it's all over the media.

I know nothing about this, but I would hazard a guess that the exchange with Boris was very public - and possibly quite deliberately so on his part, knowing how he loves to be in the spotlight - in which case no leaking would have been involved.

I doubt that his alleged return layer with ID went unnoticed by the press or the public either, as Boris hardly blends in with the crowd.

I too sense it was just a publicity stunt. He cannot bear to be out of the limelight, best thing to do is ignore him but in that case why am I here?

When you go to cast your vote you often find representatives of the competing parties asking for your identity so that they can find out if you are on their lists of possible voters. They would have seen Johnson and felt no compunction in spreading the gossip.

We were asked by someone on duty outside the polling station if we had our photo ID.

And Boris gains the publicity he so enjoys.

Going to the polls is a public event, especially if you're as recognisable as Boris. Nothing was 'leaked'. There's no secrecy in any aspect of the ballot.

If it was it worked.

Apparently he’s written about it in his Daily Mail column. The man really is incorrigible!

Another good reason not to read this paper!

He has written a great article about duck eggs hatching and how his kids loved the ducklings. One was poorly and then died and he wrote so well about his children wanting a funeral service for their pet - I’m sure we’ve all been there.

He apparantly told the media.😗

What a publicity-seeker! He clearly believes ANY publicity is better than no publicity (except for the incident over cakes and booze behind closed doors, when the serfs were largely obeying Covid rules).
I fully believe he has a personal photographer permanently on-call for when he has one of his wacky PR ideas.
