Some folks are just so perfect, never making typos themselves but quickly pick up those who do (ie, us mere mortals). Don’t worry NanaTuesday, most of us are not perfect 😂

Oops, full stop should have appeared at the end of my sentence there 😂.

Electronic calendars are such a pain - I can't see DH's as he can't/won't share his arrangements electronically (I know it can be done). I do ask him about what he is doing over the week (I work pat time) so can make arrangements about who has the car etc or if heaven forbid we go out together.
I put my arrangements into a paper calendar on the wall.
I was off an extra day this week and somehow he had got himself double booked (something which I was aware of but kept quiet as didn't want him to go to one of the meetings) so just let him run around like a blue arse fly trying to sort things.
Perhaps he will tell me things in future

It is very simple, to share a calendar.
We have a joint electronic calendar, where we put everything in it. It means we know what is happening and no double booking especially if we are asked to child mind!
We can access from our phones, tablets and PCs. I love techie things!!

Some people (men) are reluctant to share their calendars

If my husband refused to share his calendar I would wonder why.

We have a joint paper diary, everything goes in it. DH does put stuff in his phone diary but as we don't share data the old school diary is the Oracle in our house.

We used to share an electronic calendar until my laptop decided it didn't want to share anything, so we do a calendar check whenever we book anything new. We have a big shared desk where we sit opposite each other, so it is qite easy.

My husband never booked a holiday we would decide beginning of each year when he was taking time off and decide where to go and then it was left up to me to book everything. I always did all the packing as he would forget how many pairs of knickers etc he would need.

In his work life everything was just so . But at home he knew it was better to leave things to me . As I liked things booked in advance and I had lists for everything . Packed the kids things until they where 8 then left it to them but they liked me to check they had enough things.

Everything had to be on the calendar otherwise it's didn't exist. Been the same way every since he died. Had my first holiday last year for 19 years in May decided in the November before where I wanted to go and room was booked. Premier inn do accessible rooms for walking and wheelchair disabled. I walk with a stick . There rooms are brilliant ..
My train ticket was brought 12 weeks before I went when the cheaper prices where out. And travel assistance booked .

I only went Monday to Friday as I didn't want to be in a hotel of a weekend. Loved it so much when I got home booked to go to York in September.

November booked my room for Llandudno in May . Already know where know where I want to go in September.

While I can still get about under my own steam I am having a holiday twice a year . I can't go abroad . But going to places I never went with my husband those memories are precious. Still write lists months before I go 😂.

I know what he is doing - it is all church related stuff and in the past has said I would have something to complain about if it was another woman.

My DH was a ‘monkey’ with his diary when he first retired. I’d always displayed my life on the calendar on the back of the kitchen door, but he kept his stuff to himself in his beloved Filofax. Eventually, he had an event, that made life difficult for me, so he agreed to sit down every few months, so I could put his on-goings on my calendar. Just letters, F for fishing, T for trial, J for judging, KC for monthly meetings in London, etc. but it was more than enough to keep things organised.

He hated holidays and thought them a waste of money, but had no problem with me going off with the DDs or friends, as long as we agreed on dates. You could say he was selfish, but he’d worked away for years, earned good money for us to enjoy life and retired at 55 to spend his retirement as he’d always planned. Sadly diagnosed with lymphoma at 65 and died Judy after his 70th birthday.

Actually Jax I am aware of the date of the OP, but if I wish to send condolences, that is up to me I think.

That's a bit presumptuous Jaxjacky. A month to mourn a loved one of 15 years is absolutely nothing. I too send condolences NanaTuesday.

I like old fashioned calendars as well. This years is cute cats.

It’s pinned up on the living room door and important things like GP/diabetes nurse/other medical stuff are written in large letters so I never miss them.

I am tech savvy (I used to teach evening classes in basic computing) but prefer to use my old fashi9ned calendar
