Over thinking?

A young Irish couple I know are doing a sponsored walk to raise money for Palestine (for water, tents etc)

She posted about how she can sympathise with these people after the Brits invaded the part of Ireland in 1603 where her boyfriend lives.

I'm a firm believer in free speech and young people standing up for what they believe in

However the first day of their walk they posted a video online accompanied by "Children of the Revolution" by Marc Bolan

Im guessing most people who were fans of Mark Feld are aware he was Jewish!

I was rather annoyed

Are/were Marc Bolan and Mark Feld the same person?

What does his religion have to do with it?

Yes. Probably.
I seem to remember him saying at some point that he didn’t follow a religion.
I expect it was the "Metal Guru" period?

“Children of the Revolution is lightly political in its own way but I just don’t say who it’s against you know?
You have the choice to sort it out yourself”- Marc Bolan

Definitely over thinking it. Tbh even though Bolan whom I assume was Mark Feld was Jewish I don’t suppose that meant he was against Palestinians, or even a practising Jew or in any way political.
And if he was all those things, which I doubt, nobody is likely to take offence at this song being used.
You can sleep easily in your bed 😆

Think you may be overthinking!

An admirable fund raise, certainly, but I think that it's the young woman who is overthinking if she's referencing 1603...
