Let down yet again over RTS meter

We, like many others I am sure, have an RTS switch that controls are heating and hot water.
Scottish Power keep giving me appointments for an engineer to come and change it to a Smart meter. Today was the fourth date I have had an appointment, and the fourth date nobody has turned up.
No communication from S.P. to say they are not coming. Did get a phone call in May to say he was not going to make it, after his allotted time was up, but again no reason given.

I wonder how many others are having the same bother. I wonder if the engineers even exist or if it is to make their statistics look good for booking appointments and less people on the waiting list?

Been escalated to complaint level by them three times now, third one being today, but have heard nothing back from either of the first two, though they do say 5-7 working days. Not holding my breath to hear from this one either.

The system would not let her fit me in for another date when I was speaking to her today. So not sure whet happening now. Apparantly due to be cut off here on July 31st .

If they have a Facebook or X presence a comment on such a public forum usually provokes a response.

Email your MSP, they seem to be quite on the ball at the moment as there's an election next year.

Twitter seems to get pretty instant action. Big companies don't like public shaming.

Keep pressing them if you don't hear back.

That’s incredibly frustrating four missed appointments with no clear explanation is unacceptable. It really does make you wonder if they’re just booking slots to meet internal targets rather than actually helping customers.

My daughter and son in law had a similar tale to tell when they bought a house which used Scottish Power as the supplier.
It took two years, endless phone calls and many no- shows before they were successful in changing the meter from pay - as- you- go to a regular smart meter.
Their customer service is the worst I have seen.
