I attended Quaker meetings many years ago when I was a student. It was a calm and meditative hour and I met some lovely people…plus the coffee was excellent 😂

I’ve never been to a Quaker meeting, but the way you describe it makes it feel so calming and welcoming. I think a lot of people are looking for that kind of quiet space and real community right now

That sounds lovely Nellygran I too have found a lovely community of friendly people at my C of E church where apart from services we also have coffee mornings, such a lovely way to meet people. Enjoy your Quaker meetings glad they bring you so much joy.

I have never been to a Quaker meeting but after reading about them I give them a huge amount of respect and if I had to join anything it would be them, They don't try and dictate what you should believe but that you should be nice to everyone no matter what race, gender, colour or religion they might be.

As a Quaker attender I totally agree with you. Not unreasonable at all!

I’ve recently started attending Quaker meetings and what a wonderful revelation it is. An hour of peaceful reflection and a lovely community of friendly people who really care about others and the world in general. If you have any spiritual leanings but don’t know where to go and none of the religions feel right I would definitely recommend trying them.
