I am looking forward to a few days of winter sun as am flying out to Majorca in the morning. Temperatures are around 21 degrees which suits me just fine.

Then I’m looking forward to all the activities the festive season brings with having 2 small grandchildren plus they both have birthdays at this time. Simple but priceless.

On Thursday I m going to see War Horse on the stage in our city …small compared to all your hols and stuff but I m looking forward to it

My sister and I took Mum and Dad to see War Horse as part of their golden wedding celebrations.
We were bowled over by it, it's absolutely stunning. Not a small thing at all.
Have a great time 😊

Many years ago we used to have a mobile library come to the village and I borrowed one book about a horse which I loved but forgot what it was called. Then, a few years later I heard of the stage show of War Horse and wondered if it was adapted from the book I’d read; it was only when I bought a copy of the book that I realised it was. It went onto my tick list of things I wanted to see and do and it didn’t disappoint. I was determined not to cry and that lasted all of five minutes, because I was so overwhelmed by how real Joey was ( I’m welling up just thinking about it; it was just something he did at the very start of the show, just a small movement but it took my breath away).

Wishing you happiness in your new home Aldom.

Tomorrow, Monday I am moving into my new home. After all the stress involved with selling and buying properties it will be wonderful to be living normal life again. That is, of course, once I get over the upheaval of unpacking boxes and arranging furniture. But still something to look forward to. smile

I'm at DD2 's at the moment having a lovely weekend. We've just eaten homemade chicken curry.
I'm going to DD1's in December to spend time with them
DH and I are going on our first cruise over Christmas.
Lots to look forward to.
The best bit is spending time with my 5 granddaughters.

I was also at a Halloween party with my DGC in their village hall in the Scottish Highlands on Friday night. The girls dressed me and painted my hair and lips blue and silver cheeks.

Next week I am going to stay with my DS in Dublin which I'm very much looking forward to and then there's the panto in December with the DGD.
My Sister's 80th party which will be wild. It will. Her DS is a DJ and her DGD is a singer in a band.
Lots to look forward to.

Thankyou multicoloured what an uplifting thread.
Enjoy your holiday xx

My daughter coming from America and cooking brunch for Thanksgiving for my coffee morning pals, and my son coming up that week to drive us to see old friends who live a little way away and I haven't seen them for a few years as I don't drive anymore

I am going to Bristol in a couple of weeks- then a trip to Lincoln with a friend at the end of the month, and another one to London in January.

So yes, sometimes it is the small things...

My Son has bought me tickets for Fantasy Forest next July. Looking forward to seeing his family at the event. It's the highlight of my year. This will be the fifth time we are going. hugs

Yes carpe diem indeed. We went to our granddaughter's Halloween party last night and got to bed at 3 am. Me 76, DH 79. What a great time we had.

I'm going to Spain to see my sister who's been ill and had to go into a nursing home but it will be a short holiday as well. We've got tickets for the Alhambra in Granada which I'm really looking forward to seeing.
Actually my motto is carpe diem so I try to have something every day that I'm looking forward to doing. The sun is shining so I'm looking forward to my walk with my dog!

I’m going on holiday this month and I’m really looking forward to a warm and sunny week. Here’s a photograph of my previous holiday, no strokes holding me back.
