To be so sick of this rain

I am in the S E, I am looking out onto a dark grey sky with rain in the air roll on spring (meteorological spring starts this Sunday) and summer 🙏🏻

More depressing rain to come, at least in the South East.We’ll be getting webbed feet soon.

Apart from one or two days of sunshine the last two months have been dismal. Grey sky and constant rain.

We had sunshine one day earlier in the week, I was so excited!

Now here we are, back to grey dull weather, with rain all last night!

I’m fed up with the rain, I’ll be more fed up when in the summer the water companies impose a “hosepipe” ban because 1) they’ve not had the foresight to build more reservoirs 2) Use their profits for shareholder bonuses instead of fixing leaks in pipes.

In summary, OP, no, you’re not being unreasonable

My lovely young neighbour (only 54) has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. They are all devastated.
All in all, I feel quite sad 😢

Puts the «problem» of the weather into perspective though doesn’t it?

Added thing being - I'm from southern England and that means that often if I take a look out the door that I change my mind about going out. Yep....I still make all the same decisions I used to about going out - followed by a lot of "abort plan....abort...it's Wales here" anyway. So this winter has been a dire one for me...

I've just returned from a week in Morocco, clear blue skies and a the temperature in the upper 20's. It's recharged me somewhat and it's dry here ATM so I feel able to face more rain, if we have it. On the plus side, it's been fairly mild and the garden is springing into life which always makes me feel optimistic.

Actually if you look at the weather sites, at least here in the south east, the weather is day by day getting drier over the next couple of weeks. There may be rain but not so much of it. 😄

Excessive precipitation - rain or snow - would seem to have been a feature all over. Dd & co. were skiing in France recently - loads of snow and it snowed virtually all day, every day, plus I’ve read that there’s been a lot of flooding in France. Ditto in Portugal, according to a nephew who lives there, and not long ago in Mallorca.
Plus a Swedish friend I spoke to the other day said it had been snowing all day - again! Snow on snow on snow….
I felt a bit bad saying that it was sunny here - for once….

And America’s eastern areas lately, too. Sister who moved recently from Cape Cod to Tucson is undoubtedly feeling somewhat smug…

Wednesday was glorious here, I felt like a human being again, the sun was so warm, but today was business as usual with the weather cold and windy and nothing but overcast skies. Have never known such consistently dreadful weather in Jan/Feb, I mean it’s never great but at least sometimes there would be drier sunnier spells even if the temps were cold.
It’s like somebody has forgotten to turn on the lights but left the taps running.

We had two days of sunshine, Monday and Tuesday, this week. Oh, what absolute joy!☀️. Then, today, grey overcast skies, a chilly wind and drizzle all day. We need sunshine 🙏.
