After watching Zack Polanski on Laura K this morning … how could anyone put their faith in him as a leader? None of the other party leaders are without fault!!! But he comes over as a vacuous, self promoting individual … The Green Party has changed!

So many personal remarks on here, how horrible to comment on his teeth, his hair, his stubble. Reminds me very much of the thread about Angela Reynor and the way she dressed.

Absolutely! If that is all you can criticise about him........

And the comments about Boris, his hair and him looking like a burst sofa?
The fact is commenting on public figures disrespectfully is part of our British heritage 😁

Whilst the observations regarding the green trouser suit, could be deemed as bitchy, I didn't feel the need to comment on it, whilst I didn't like it much, it wasn't that bad and after all, Angela always looks pretty well groomed to me.

But....get a grip those who think the comments regarding Polanski's appearance are personal, oh come on we had numerous deprecating personal remarks regarding Boris' fly away hair, his obvious lack of satorial style, bloody hell he looked a right mess next to Macron shock Not to mention Agent Orange across the pond whose slap gets thicker by the day. I've even seen the odd comment here on GN alluding to Rishi Sunak's height from his detractors along the lines of "annoying little man" when he was PM, like he has any power to change that! Zac Polanski's teeth or lack of them are something he could change, maybe he can't be arsed hmm he should consider it, it makes him look like a throwback from a bygone era when lack of teeth was endemic.

I do agree with a lot of what he says. Having said that it’s easy to comment on things when not actually in government. And his new MP said that, if she won the seat she wanted to Keir to stand down. I don’t see what right she had to say that.

I couldn't care less about his hair (he keeps it short and tidy or his teeth) his stubble does look scruffy. Grow a beard or have a shave.

He’s dangerous. He wants open borders and panders to pro Palestinians. He piggy backed onto the Greens and I bet many voted just because of the party name. Isn’t there also controversy about sectarian voting and family voting?

Maremia Sun 01-Mar-26 14:41:52

I think the vote was about her, That, and tactical voting.

Skallywag Sun 01-Mar-26 14:38:26

I admire him immensely. And will vote green

Not really. I think we expect our politicians to look reasonably neat and tidy if they represent us. The comment about Rayners suit were just spiteful imo

As my Mum used to say, 'I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him'!

I think you and your Mum are dead right in this case.

I couldn't care what he looks like - but I could never vote for a man whose party thinks women can have penises.

He is very nimble on interviews. The interviewer often comes to look a bit silly.

The opposite is true on The rest is Politics.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 01-Mar-26 13:46:13

That’s because you agree with him☺️

I listened to the interview with him on The Rest is Politics Leading and reached the same conclusion that they did. That he’s a nice guy but doesn’t understand economics ( at least, not enough to be a party leader). He was on The Last Leg on Friday. He has been to drama school and he knows how to play to the crowd.

I'm afraid that he has a far better understanding of economics than most people. And in 'people' I include politicians, journalists, commentators, many 'economists', and Rory Stewart and Alistair Campbell.

If I had the parliament channel on in the background I would always stop what I was doing if Caroline Lucas got up to speak. I really admire her.

He needs a trip to the dentist.

I've got a gap in my top front teeth, he beats me as he has a gap top and bottom.

He has a big hole on his upper left.

Perhaps he went to the same dentist as me. 🤔

Shame as I loved Caroline Lucas and would have voted for her.

I might not have voted for her but I liked her and she was a serious politician.

I can't take Polanski seriously.

David Paulden, now Zack Polanski the actor, hasn't got a clue.
The comments he made on LK were unbelievable from someone who wants to be a British leader.

Well said!

Doesn't inspire confidence, bit like a Boris hair do. I could never take him seriously with that hair.

Doesn't mean it's about good looks but anyone can look like they've had a wash and combed their hair.
