So interesting reading all your comments, Grans. My husband and I have a real gripe about those ubiquitous apostrophes. If there's an "s" on the end of a word, it seems to be open season to put one before it. My husband is a lawyer and so his letters tend to be BORING "legalese" and picky about fine detail, but even he can't get to grips with "I" being the subject of the verb. He is not alone in this. I've heard and seen the same error from newsreaders, journalists, authors and others, that is people whose jobs are to do with words and grammar and communication. No wonder he and me struggle with some particular grammatical rule's if proffesionals ca'nt get it write.
