For over 40 years Beanstalk had been providing trained volunteers in primary schools to help children with their reading. Our regular volunteers go into school twice a week, for a whole year, working with the same three children to help improve their reading ability and confidence. Find out more at www.beanstalkcharity.org.uk/Pages/Category/become-a-reading-helper.
We are now launching a new programme 'Beanstalk Reading Transitions', designed specifically for those who can't commit to a whole year but who can go into schools regularly (four times a week) for just one school term. We are trialling this in London from September and need 45 volunteers to help us that term. If you think this might suit you, find out more and apply at www.beanstalkcharity.org.uk/reading-transition or call us on 020 7729 4087.
