It was a valid link. I have Norton and it usually just blocks the site and I can't go any further. There is even an explanation about it in Wikipedia! I was just quite surprised by the whole concept.

Doesn't your software pop up and tell you that the link may be suspect,if I go to a link which has not been ok'd I get a big fat OOPs on my screen and it tells me to steer clear and close the link. confused

I'm sure it was ok Nanny1. It's just that I get it drummed into me by son. I still open links left right and centre though! You'd miss a lot if you didn't!

I know we are all strangers here but so many of us have built up friendships and we have empathy with our peers.

I think of the people on GN as modern penpals :-)

absentgrana the Omegle site was just not the same. You are absolutely right that we talk about other things smile - everything and anything. It's much nicer here x

That link could have a virus. You have to be careful clicking on stuff. (so I'm often hmm told)

Not saying it had. Don't worry.

Yet we are all complete strangers, but perhaps the difference is that we chat about something or lots of somethings. smile

I found this on my daily feed from "How stuff works". How weird. Why would anyone want to chat to a complete stranger about nothing.

I did try it very briefly but all I got was people who wanted to talk about sex. Ugh... not for me!
