I've had many to many methink's.
One of many I recall. When I had my little dog I used to take her for a work every morning. One morning I took her as usual, when I got back home it had just started o rain, so I went into the house took her lead and my shoe's off put on my slipper's, stettled the dog in, grabbed an umberella went down to fetch the paper, needless to say my feet were rather wet when I got back.
Your turn ladies.

I was getting a bit panicky today, my key would not turn in the lock. I then gave the door a closer look, quickly withdrew the key and went next door into my own house! The worse thing is, my door is red, next door is white, I was deep in thought but am not sure if that is an excuse blush

glamma, I sit on the end of the bed to dry my hair and occasionally find that I have been sitting on my glasses. Luckily I have a soft bottom...blush

glammanana Thu 29-Mar-12 18:15:56

I know I am in serious trouble when I forget where I have put my glasses and can't find the spare pair to find the original pair !!!

Anne58 Thu 29-Mar-12 18:08:01

Does anyone else wander around making "snipping" movements with their two first fingers and their thumb tucked in over the other two, to indicate that they are looking for the scissors?

glammanana Thu 29-Mar-12 17:23:14

I'd have been worried that the price had gone up whilst I was getting the cap off grinThats happened to me a few times when I used to use DH's car he always put the cap on to tight or I would park up on the wrong side of the pump.confused

I don't know if this was a senior moment, but today after queueing at Asda for petrol (I know, but I needed some!) I found I couldn't get the petrol cap off. I was extremely flummoxed, and had visions of having to drive off in shame, but the driver behind me kindly came out to see if I needed any help.
Well, in my panic I had been turning the key the wrong way, the young lady pointed out.....blush
That'll teach me!

While I was salivating over the cake counter at Waitrose today (not literally), I remembered something else I needed then immediately forgot what it was. Now I am home I realise it was washing-up liquid. Senior moment? Maybe, but I have always been absent-minded as no doubt my sisters would tell you if I let them loose on GN.

flowerfriend Thu 29-Mar-12 16:25:34

Maybe that was a senior moment.

flowerfriend Thu 29-Mar-12 16:24:56

with not will

When did forgetfulness become known as - having a senior moment.

I sometimes have a problem introducing two people I know pretty well. My mind goes blank. This is something I have suffered from for many years. However I can remember what I ate the day before my sons were born and they are 40 42 and 33.

I like the chuckle jeni. I actually believe that living in a house will lots of stairs is good for one so maybe that is really why old people live in bungalows.

jeni Thu 29-Mar-12 10:37:20

Why do old people live in bungalows?
So that they don't forget what they went upstairs for!

Barrow Thu 29-Mar-12 09:41:20

Speaking to a neighbour yesterday I realised I couldn't remember his daughter's name!!! I had to refer to her as "your daughter", luckily for me he used her name. I find I frequently forget names these days, I recognise people then have to "bluff" my way through until their name comes to me!

greenmossgiel Thu 29-Mar-12 09:40:44

Yesterday I went to hang out the washing...with an empty washing basket. I'd forgotten to take the washing out of the machine confused!

Gally Thu 29-Mar-12 09:32:33

I always find that if I have forgotten what I've gone upstairs for/into the kitchen for/outside for, I go back to where I was when I thought about it, it all comes back to me eventually - no wonder I spend inordinate amounts of time standing still and thinking confused

nanachrissy Wed 28-Mar-12 20:47:03

At least it's a bit of extra exercise when you get downstairs and then have to go back up again!

Annobel Wed 28-Mar-12 19:23:31

phoenix grin thanks for that. I hope I can remember it.

Anne58 Wed 28-Mar-12 19:21:27

Tip, if you go upstairs, and then can't remember why you did, have a pee. Saves a wasted trip.
