Butty have you got a link to the bald eagles, please? I would love to see them. I was lucky enough to watch them flying around when I was in New England - they are magnificent

Osprey chick, now known as Blue 44, has been ringed and satellite tagged this week and is likely to fledge next week. The satellite tag is like a little backpack but doesn't seem to bother him - yes, he's a boy!

I've been keeping an eye on the bald-headed eagles in the States - 3 babies who are now very big and flap around on the leading branches of their nest. They will soon fly and will miss them!

The osprey chick is huge now and well on the way to fledging. As an 'only child' it's bigger than average and fat too. It gets up on its feet and stretches its wings, practising for the day it takes off! I think they are hoping to ring it soon. I've enjoyed watching its progress - will miss it when it flies away.

Saw mum feeding chick with dad standing guard. Loved the way chick staggered forward to peck a piece of fish for himself.

Good News! The Lady has hatched an egg today. Two more to go.

Annobel, thanks so much for drawing our attention to this lovely experience. I am sending a donation to the people responsible for the webcam.

I've just had a great view of the Lady turning over her three eggs and making them really cosy with moss. The first egg could hatch in about 10 days and the others perhaps two or three days later. Hope so.

We've had these bookmarked for a while but goodness how we waste time in our house looking at birds on nests

Keilder now have two nests 1st with three eggs and the second with 2. The male on the second nest does not appear to be a Keilder bird, he has a white tag and numbers, they are trying to trace him.

I've watched Lady and her mates for 3yrs now and find the whole thing so fascinating its like watching a soap opera.
I do wonder what will happen if her mate of last year turns up! Two years ago Lady got so sick even the experts didn't think she would live but she pulled through and managed to fledge her chicks that year.. sadly last year her eggs didn't hatch at all so here's hoping this is a better season for her and her new mate... keeping watching as she could lay her eggs any day now if the first matings were successful.

Just read the blog (http://blogs.scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk/osprey/) which reports a lot of mating attempts. Here's hoping!

Doesn't she just! I'm glad so many of you like this site. I hope some eggs will materialise and hatch this time.

Fantastic footage. I like the idea of The Lady having a succession of mates over the years and a toyboy to bring her fish - what more could a girl ask for!

Both birds in residence when I visited then one went off for a while,looking a wee bit cold up there this morning.

There's snow on the Ospreys' nest this morning. No sign of the birds when I logged in. They must be out fishing or foraging for nesting materials.
