Favourite time of day

My favourite time of day is early evening when the evening meal is done and all cleared up, horse fed and tucked up in his stable for the night and the dog walked, fed and now flat out in front of the fire. If I'm not going out in the evening I sit down with a glass of wine and the current book if there is nothing on TV to interest me.

When is your favourite time of day?

After I have got the two little ones fed and they go off into the bath with their Mum or Dad if they are in, I can then go and have a shower put my Pjs on then I have a glass of wine and then do the finishing touches to the supper, but if Mum and Dad are not back it all slips back 1 hour by the time they are bathed and stories done.
Best time of the day.

I'm with you, yogagran. Once the evening meal is out of the way, there's no pressure, so I can relax! If I've been busy at work as well, it's so nice to just not have to do anything. (Although I might put a wash on....hmm]

My favourite time of day is early morning. Especially the few minutes between sleeping and waking when I'm just dozing.

Then out for a quick wee, and back in bed, earplugs in, Radio 4, and, most likely, back to sleep till about 8.30.

Lovely. I like my bed.

Second favourite time is lunchtime.

Anytime I spend with my sons and grandchildren on skype.
After that, the first cup of coffee in the morning.

I should have said 'earphones' in my post there. Earplugs wouldn't work! confused

I like early morning. If it's sunny and warm enough, breakfast outside or ekse tea and the crossword in bed. House to myself as DH will still be asleep, NO SCHOOL TO GO TO, no time pressure, what's not to like?

early morning, cold and bright, between five and six, before most people are out. to breathe the air, be alone, and have 'got a start on the day'.

I must admit, jingl, I did wonder....wink

I love early morning , in Winter just turn over and snuggle back down , no more up and out by 7am, in Summer an early walk for the paper or breakfast in the garden. I just so enjoy a leisurely start to the day after years of getting up and out.

First thing in the morning when the whole day is in front of you.
First tablet of the day then a cup of coffee in bed made by DH then downstairs for breakfast.

My favourite time of the day is right now I am off to bed and anticipating snuggling down and reading for an hour before a good nights sleep. Goodnight all.

I quite like now - early morning. The blackbird woke me singing its heart out on the roof under my bedroom window; he just goes on and on. But what a lovely awakening. DH, bless him, can sleep through anything, so I come downstairs.

Now I have a big cup of good coffee, the gas fire on, the rain is lashing down outside and I feel calm and contented. smile

My favourite time of the day is about 6.30 pm. I will usually be cooking with a glass of chilled white wine next to me watching 'Pointless'. My husband will be sitting at the kitchen table with a cold beer, newspapers spread all over the place (mostly the table I am trying to lay!). We chat about our day, catching up on each others news.

Second best time of the day is 6.00 am, sitting in bed, Breakfast on the television with a lovely cup of tea - especially if it was my husband's turn to make it!

Oops! That's me watching 'Pointless' not the glass of wine. grin Not that anyone would have mentioned it!! wink

imjingl Thu 26-Apr-12 09:19:56

Ariadne - that applies very well to the present time, doesn't it! smile

Ok. I think he's pierced it to the root now. Enough!
