Just come back from supermarket shopping with Mr Annika, it is a nice day so wore cool cotton trousers and a lovely cotton top. Spoke to a few people I knew and even found time to pop into the library and found one or two more to speak to.
Twice Mr Annika told me I looked nice smile which is unusual for him hmm . The thing is it might have been a good idea when he was taking the time to look at me and comment on my apperance he could have informed me that I had a huge toothpaste dribble down my top sad !!!!

jeni Fri 25-May-12 12:05:59

grin

Annobel Fri 25-May-12 12:15:16

Annika - either he didn't notice or he didn't want to burst your bubble! wink

Filling buckets with water from the outside tap so that the kids in the garden can throw large yogurt potfuls at each other.

Squeals ensue...

Getting really quite stressed!! Baseline at the moment is fairly stressed as we have had our middle daughter, her partner and their baby living with us for the past 3 months as they are between houses. As some of you know we have also had our eldest son living with us for 4 years since he had a stroke. He has finally been allocated an adapted flat about 3 miles away and is really excited to be getting away from Mum and Dad again at the ripe old age of 40. He chose today (without checking with me!! angry) to have his new cooker etc delivered and also the underlay for his new carpets. Today, we have men in replacing two windows, theoretically arriving at 9.30 but in reality turning up at 8.00, AND our daughter needed to get to the station for 8.15 to catch a train. My husband was doing his volunteering this morning so - guess who has been run ragged delivering people, letting people in, seeing people out, making iced drinks, walking the dog etc, etc, etc. [completely exhausted emoticon]

And, to top it all, I've had to let Mr Lester go shopping for a shirt for youngest daughter's wedding all on his own! Oh, dear! wink

kittylester Fri 25-May-12 15:14:12

Nor will I have helped 'that green thing' by hurtling in and out of town so many times! blush

Anagram Fri 25-May-12 15:22:12

Words fail me, kitty! You are a true heroine! smile

(I'd be worried about the shirt, as well....confused)

nanachrissy Fri 25-May-12 16:06:56

Kitty you can take the rest of the week off!! grin grin

Annika Fri 25-May-12 16:27:22

kitty but you may have to take the shirt back to the shopwink

kittylester Fri 25-May-12 16:35:27

Thank you nanachrissy I don't think it's over yet though! The wedding is at the beginning of July so we have booked a few days away the following week. Hopefully, it will all have stopped by then!

Annika may? wink

nanaChrissy Fri 25-May-12 18:24:59

Trying to get my user name changed as there is new NanaChrissy who doesn't seem to want to change hers!
Not having much luck so far confused I thought it would be easy wink

I think Josie is getting ready for the party busy! grin

Gally Fri 25-May-12 20:01:52

Nanachrissy sad I shall get so confused if you change your name - get her to change hers! Shouldn't be allowed to duplicate!
Today I have shifted 640 litres of bark from the car to the back garden and then in small buckets up to the top of the garden and scattered round all my newly planted shrubs and ground cover plants. It was hot and exhausting and took 3 hours but I feel very good, in fact positively saintly - and hopefully the weeds won't grow while I am away in Sydney. Just had my lonely supper in the garden and the sun has just disappeared over the horizon so a quick look at GN before the next wine or 2 smile

glassortwo Fri 25-May-12 20:10:21

Chrissy why do you have to change you have been here from the beginning?
I thought it was impossible to have two of the same user names, but I suppose its down to the spelling!

I must admit I was confused on that thread last night when there was a nanachrissy and a NanaChrissie

Ella46 Fri 25-May-12 20:15:17

Well, you'd think I would have squatters rights on my name, but it seems not!
So long nanachrissy sad grin

glassortwo Fri 25-May-12 20:16:45

Long live Ella46 and all who sail in her grin
