Sounds gruelling, soop. I know you have the courage (was going to say 'guts' but seemed inappropriate), but it does get a bit wearing when it's just one thing after another. At least the consultant has you in the pipeline and you have us with you all the way - well, most of it.

Since I was away yesterday, I've been trying to bring myself up to date with you lot. What would I do without GN? [Housework springs to mind!] Bah!

Seven hours on the road yesterday. Hip now miffed and a tad bruised. In spite of Mr soop's directions to the hospital, we managed to get lost. Glasgow's a big city. No fun going round in ever decreasing circles. Found ourselves in two clinics where we shouldn't be - one being maternity! Finally found the right and proper place for drop-bots. Nice looking consultant surgeon. NO names mentioned. That nellie might be making notes . Just when I thought that matters couldn't get worse, I've two further investigations to go through, one under full anaesthetic, both in Glasgow. New consutant seems to think that, if the tests provide him with certain answers, he may be able to do repair work both front and back. If not, the colon will be re-routed. Chin up! Chest out! Fixed

It's grey, wet and blustery. A good day to enjoy our cosy wee home.

DH is putting up a new loo roll holder and swearing loudly at the person who painted over the screws of the old one (me). Now that someone's had the bright idea to make the middles smaller (why is that exactly?) I skinned my knuckles trying to shove a roll on the old holder. I'm keeping my head down, watching Trooping the Colour on the telly.

Its very quiet here everyone is out, I am just getting the last bits together to go up to the house later this afternoon to get some work done tomorrow.

But first off to pick FIL up and going to see the Olympic flame in a village not far from here hope he got his flag and guess what its started to rain again, how is it possible to have so much rain in 1 week

Hope it's another good day for that, glam. It's pouring and blowing a hooly here at the mo so I'm wondering if the scout group sports afternoon will be called off. We usually have a water race at the end so they all end up wet anyhow, but cold rain wet isn't the same as getting wet deliberately in a sunny day.

ella46 I knew we where missing someone I hope jeni is ok,I have been up since 6.30am I had a really good sleep last night and am getting ready for my day at the Charity shop I am chief cook and bottle washer to-day as the manager is off on a Saturday so as the old saying goes "I'm in Charge" I hope we have a good day last Saturday we raised over £200s and all by doing a spur of the moment sale instead of having a 50p rail we did 3 for £1 and the stuff we had for a soon shifted off the rails,may do it again to-day.

Talking of prescriptions I'm wondering how Jeni is. Didn't she say her oa was making it painful for her to type?

My repeat prescription is very simple. When I collect it, I tell the pharmacist which items I'll need in four weeks' time. I turn up four weeks later and it's ready to collect.

Allie, I've been messing about with prescriptions and what a palaver that's been. I usually make my repeat prescription on line. A couple of weeks ago, something went wrong with the system and all but one item were marked 'rejected'. When I went to inquire, the receptionists were wonderful, printed out the prescription and got it signed on the spot. Then, this week, I discovered that my asthma preventer inhaler had been missed out, so requested it on line only for that too to be 'rejected'. Tried again and it was rejected again. Emailed the practice and, to cut a long story short, I got the inhaler today. Technology? I think I'll submit the request in person from now on.

The rest of my day seems to have been spent going from the chemist to the doctor and back and coming back again later, trying to get two prescriptions...I got one in the end, doctor put the wrong thing on the other....I told the chemist 'this time I give up, I'm seeing the GP on Tuesday, I'll sort it out then' - just too tired for more effort after v early morning.

Still it was (mostly) a nice sunny day, and my neighbour Jenny has given me some plant troughs and hanging baskets.

I've had a lovely day shopping with dil for summer(?) outfits for my darling gd. We got lots of really nice stuff which didn't cost an arm and leg, so I'm pleased as I paid!
Had a great lunch at the vegetarian cafe and got soaked twice going back to the car!
My son phoned and said dil and I are a bad influence on each other

My lovely neighbour, the Wonder Consultant Dentist sorted me out yesterday -hopefully it will last a few weeks or longer, so tomorrow I am going to Cyprus to grab the tail end of the holiday I should have been on this week. The weather finally pushed me to a decision : 8 degrees here, windy and wet versus sunshine and 31 degrees - no contest really

Out to lunch today, I avoided the chocolate fudge pudding in favour of lemon tart. No regrets, but mouth is watering again...

Chocolate cake around I think as to-day is very miserable here on The Wirral the River is looking very grey and the view to Liverpool is very gloomy.So a nice slice of chocolate fudge cake will go down well with a good hot
