I have never smelt my knees, but did suck my flannel in the bath (errrgh!)

You are a funny lot, I have never in my life sniffed my knees. I did read an article about ageing where it said elderly people do give off a biscuit aroma

One smells one's knees for the same reason that one climbs mountains – because they're there! In the case of knees, right under your nose just after you've sat down in the bath but before you immerse your legs. Besides, I expect I was sharing the bath with siblings some of the time. We used to take turns sliding down the sloping end..... until someone came up and bellowed at us for soaking the floor.

Bizarre thread! Why would one smell one's knees anyway? I doubt if anyone else is going to! No shaving for me - body hair mostly gone and leg hair is pretty sparse. Eyebrows not so great either.

I have just forced my head down over the four marmalade sarnies I had for lunch my stomach, and my knees smell of bath foam. (little miss perfect emoticon]

I seem to smell of chocolate in the morning, don't know why! And no, I have stopped shaving my armpits because the hair does not seem to grow there any more

When I was a child my knees mainly smelled of mud. Gardening in the sunshine today, so if I could reach them they would probably still smell of mud!
