The fraud took place 4 days before I left England and the first I knew was when I tried to pay for curtains in John Lewis and the card was refused. Nobody from the bank had made any effort to contact me and when I stormed in they said they knew I would contact them when I was unable to use my card. I had to queue with my passport to get cash over the counter because neither of us had a card. Apparently details are sold from Indian call centres for s little as a few pence per card.
