Why do people ignore me?

Why is it that everyday people ignore me
going past without seeing me
favouring my neighbour instead of me
have I a large proboscis
is there a large pustule on my forehead
dripping ooze.

It's so annoying I cannot connect
with my human race
I have humour by the bucketful
perhaps people want to be sad
ignore me though at your peril
I'm more daring than some
for I have a gun.

Yes Ian42 ... the answer to everything!!grin ...whatever the question ...thought the radio series was better than the tv series!!

However ...I think that GNHQ ought to give us a "wooden spoon" emocion ...I think some of us would get a lot of use from it!!

I have left bullying and its pain behind me years ago, however ignoring and being rude to people is a kind of bullying, especially where you can remain anonymous. My real name is Ian the 42 is because I'm a Douglas Adams fan, and 42 was quite significant to his Hitchhikers series.

PS...at school I was bullied...I was lonely, flat-footed and tubby. I left all that behind long ago. You can do the same, if you choose.

Ian42 if you really do want to be liked, than you have to be likeable. The people who empathise with others [share their joy and their pain] discover that in return, they too, attract consideration and support and kindness in equal measure.

Ian42, I find your posts objectionable, and I find you objectionable, rather pathetic and unlikeable. Enough said.

whenim64 Sun 20-May-12 12:25:48

Quote 'How do you like being ignored are some of you former bullies.' Are you addressing that to the Gransnetters who responded to your post Ian? Your reply is ambiguous or could it be an insult? (I think!)

soop Sun 20-May-12 12:17:35

Ian42 Thank you for the flowers smile brew it's those gestures that suggest you are indeed likeable. grin

whenim64 Sun 20-May-12 12:16:07

Ugh!

Ian42 Sun 20-May-12 12:12:51

Not ignoring me now, however I found the replies rather laughable. How do you like being ignored are some of you former bullies. I hate bullying as a kid I was bullied horrendously and it scars for life. No I have never owned a gun, and personally they should be banned permantly. How do you get to be liked. If you met me you would be quite impressed really, I am quite a likeable chap. Hopefully I may like you.
All the best

I'm still confused so I guess Ian42 will be "well-pleased". Ian why not make a trip to Speakers' Corner...

absent grin

There was a poem by Roger McGough about a teacher walking into a classroom and systematically shooting the pupils. - a well constructed poem too. But, after Dunblane, it became suddenly unamusing.

Just saying..

Is Brevik defined by his bucketfuls of humour? Surely not.

Is this supposed to be a poem or is it just stray thoughts broken up erratically?

whenim64 Sun 20-May-12 10:19:15

If it's about Brevik, he has asserted that his crimes were justifiable in order to prevent his country being over-populated with immigrants, but the poem appears to say this loner wants revenge for being ignored? I wonder if the OP just likes to provoke?

Annobel Sun 20-May-12 10:00:42

biker grin grin.
Hunt - Sounds about right!

Hunt Sun 20-May-12 09:56:51

Is the poem ,maybe, about Brevik?

Ariadne Sun 20-May-12 07:45:21

The most I have ever won is £10.00 I only buy one line a week it only takes one to win doesn't it ? I do the Irish lottery on Sat and do 4 x 25p lines and have won about £150.00 a couple of times on that,so betting is definatly not my forte. grin

glassortwo Sat 19-May-12 22:01:16

I have given up putting it on glamma for my birthday in Feb my youngest sister (we dont do presents) sent me some lottery scratch cards in my card and I won £24 I could not believe my luck grin

glammanana Sat 19-May-12 21:45:47

I only came on to nose because I didn't win the lottery.
