*HEATING* - had yours on?

We moaned about having the heating on in May last year!! Still all of July is supposed to be lovely - hope so we are going to the Kent coast for a few days!

I've spent the weekend looking after two GDs while their older brother was taken to see Blink 182 . They live in a large house (freezing cold even in summer) and I was persuaded to go for a bracing walk on the beach (big mistake). I also had to sleep in GS's bed which is obviously the very latest in teenage trendiness but resembled and felt like a WW1 hospital bed! After a three hour drive home yesterday afternoon I have spent today crippling around with sciatica.....The things we do for love!

I remember that. I was in Walsall!

Snow in June 1975. DS2 in Birmingham Children's Hospital where I was staying with him. The city centre was chaotic. That same week cricket at Buxton was 'snowed off' but by the end of the week a heatwave had started and when we were driving DS home from hospital we bought a paddling pool. Maybe there is hope.

Yes weather seems to be something of a mixed bag depending on which part of the country you're in ...my area is suffering from wind chill factor ...probably better than floods!!

...still haven't got any heating.....

Had my heating on and off and on and off all day. I think it's the psychological effect - a defence against the continuous rain....

Just back from a weekend away and having spent most of the day in trains. Arrived home cold and dishevelled, so have just given in and turned up the thermostat. Now thawing out.

We had it on for an hour a couple of evenings and I'm so glad the caravan we have rented for next week at the coast has central heating and we'll be taking our flannel PJ's just in case..lol

No , but thats because I am a tight fisted so and so
I must admit I have been tempted so I went and got my big thick M & S dressing gown put it on and then made a cup of tea with my hands wrapped around the cup as if it were the depths of winter

Same here. It's gone from heatwave conditions to feeling like late November all in the space of three or four weeks!
