I remember one New Year's Eve we were waiting to 'see the new year in', and was later asked by my very young daughter what the new year looked like!

Getting 6-year old grandson ready for school and checking spelling homework at same time. Granddad asked 'how do you spell train. 'T-r-a-n-e' was the answer. No said granddad 't-r- a-i-n'. Of said grandson I thought it was a split diagraph

This morning I was having my usual struggle to get up off the settee, when little grandson, just 4, held his hand out and said "Hold my hand grandma", bless him.
